I heard it when Sven took over – The same season they won the CL and the League
I heard it when the Shiek took over – Just a Premiership and CL final for them that year.
I heard it last season when they sold their best player and we took one of their key players – 2nd and took it to the last day as well as taking 6 points off us and knocking us out of a semi final which represented the best chance of us ever winning a trophy in my life time.
One thing U***d have right now in their side which money cant buy is team spirit and knowing how to win trophies. I support a football team not a bank balance and as long we they are finishing way ahead of us and winning trophies every season they will continue to lord it over us.

Winning is one thing, Lording it is another.
So many people rushing to defend the scum from 'bragging'. Who's bragging? It was just stated that their bubble is starting to burst & they're worried about it. That's not bragging; it's true. it's them who are saying it more than us.
As for them Lording it; winning or having a better team is one thing, Lording it is another. They can lord it over you if you want to accept it but they'll never fucking lord it over me. I'm a City fan, they are rag shithouses; they have fuck all to lord about.
Never have, never will.

Theres just been something about football in South Africa on and I must admit I wasn't really taking any notice of it, but the guy said something about "it would be like playing Manchester City" in the same sort of context as the scum would have been quoted over the last 30 odd years.

My interests in CITY are beyond mere obsession and have been through the last 40 odd years, only the last few of which I had ever thought that we are likley to ever win anything in my remaining lifetime
My detestation of all things scum is also way beyond obsession and is totally unrelated to our sudden opportunity to rise - I would be taking equal delight in obsering their fall even if we had never beaten Gillingham that day (all this good stuff would never of happened)
Totally separate subjects and yes - I really to feel that they are on the wane - I enjoy this spectacle very much and do not need to restrain or temper my feelings with some connection to CITY's success
People on this forum talk about hating the rags - others talk about indifference to them - but I would suspect that there are not that many genuine dyed in the wool haters who share the obsession level. That is why I have smiled when people relate hating rags to bad-mouthing ex-scum players - that is only facile in the main - ex-players are only really tainted if they are incarnations of the scum arrogance - Keane, Neville sisters etc.
It is the arrogant empire and its shallow arrogant fans, along with the twat of a manager and his acolytes (Bruce etc) and the media that I hate - and it is a joy to see it start to crumble - I am just hoping for the 'tipping point' to be reached soon so that it becomes unstoppable

When in fact they will still take as much cash they will just spend less on players and there team will suffer instead for it. But of course there too fucking retarded to see there stupid green and yellow bullshit campaign is doing nothing but actually hurting the club and not hurting the Glazers who are riding the wave.

You're right Vhero and the other thing is that like shares (I know they don't have shareholders anymore) once they go low enough people will buy them because they see a profit to be made on a low risk punt. U****d may, I repeat may end up in financial meltdown and if the Glazers do decide to bale out there will be a queue of companies wanting to buy the brand because they will become cheap and markey forces will take over. Just like syphilis, we'll never see the back of them.

A decent article up until the point where he states that Owen Hargreaves has been the best England player of the last decade. Laughable.

I think he has been.
