As for this thread - it is clearly about football and the fact it isn't about city has no relevance whatsoever.... neither do half the fucking threads on this forum.

Anyway, now that Hitler has allowed us to discuss this player - I think he's one of the best full backs in world football.

There's no guarantee that any particular player in the world will make it in the prem, but I think he would.

GET HIM IN CITY!

Mate, I'm not interested in any of it now, I just wanna know who'd win the Light Blue Fight - you or Nooly?

My money's on Nooly, 'cos as he said, his dad's got bigger mussels ;-)

I'd knock seven different colour shades of shit out of that nooly, so don't waste your money mate...

More importantly - Spain just scored....

And where the fuck was Lahm?!

Average
Gave away the ball too much. Didn't get forward enough. Seemed to always want to give it straight back to the center backs when ever he had possesion. Very average performance from a very average player in my opinion.

I actually agree, semi-finals isn't the best place to prove yourself. I suppose when you look at it, all those that have gone before and didn't quite make it are better players, it's just about the team. But what I don't get is that if it's the team, why is 'Lahm Balti' the Captain?

He played better than I gave him credit for. He's above average but I don't want him at City.

But - just for discussions sake - if he was at CITY who would you expect to be given the nod between him and Micah? - just those 2, i.e. not Ned, Zab or Jerome

Because if you 'objectively' suggest Lahm - then that means he must be average - > Class - given the view a lot of posters on here have of Micah

I would have Micah in my team ahead of him.
They are similar players, in that they arn't the most talented footballers. Not comfortable in possesion and very prone to mistakes. But i think Micah would shade it on his physical presence and airial ability.

Although saying that i would have Zabaleta in ahead of them both, while at the same time i would be attempting to buy a world class right-back such as Alves.

This.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

We have no one at the club that can play right back as good as Lahm (modern right back)

Edit - reserving judgement on Boateng since I've barely seen him play

I would. If Lahm was in this current squad he'd be my 5th choice right back. Really dont see what the fuss is about this guy! Very average player

After serious consideration I would have Michael Tarnet and Danny Mills ahead of Philip Lahm

I think this is just some conversation born out of boredom amongst some posters

You have already said it right - RB has been a major problem - so lets please please get a world class 1st choice - not somebody adapting like Zab (who I love as a player - but he is a 'make-do') - or someone not good enough like Micah
