Now It's Our Fault England Are Crap..

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

wasn't there a thread recently that said on the opening day of the premiership, only 2 teams fielded a foreign player.... excuse me if I am wrong but wasn't the opening day of the premiership nearly 30 years after we last won a cup?
Where were the trophies during this golden age of english football?

England were crap because:

1) Wrong squad selection.
2) Stubborn manager.
3) Wrong formation.
4) Players out of position.
5) Players not giving a flying fuck.
6) Talentless players.

Why don't the press realise that English players are just not good enough. The coaching skills over here are fuckin wank so it produces wank players. It has fuck-all to do with City.

There's also the fact that this particular group of English players weren't that good. I don't think it's necesserily anyone's fault. England keep producing good players but also lot of them are badly overhyped.

Thing is, you can't have "golden generation" every four years. There will be time in future when England has group of players that can go all the way. That I'm absolutely 100% sure about. AS Wooders points out below, back in the day there were basically no foreigners, yet England failed to qualify to Euro 1992 for example. And that was, according to many, "good old days". The cream will always rise to the top. No need to worry about that. It's the average players that need to ply their trade in Championship these days instead of the lower Premier League teams as was the case before. Sad as it maybe to some, that will have NO efect whatsoever on England national side. These players would have never represented England anyway.

As far as us not playing our part goes. That is fucking laughable to say the least. About one fourth of the players in Englands 30 or so players they choose their national team from play for us. I don't see many teams that can say the same.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

People like Woolnough are part of the problem England have, rather than the solution. Idiots like him, sprouting this kind of fantasy bullshit in order to appeal to the thick headed masses, help obscure the real reasons for CONTINUED failure over the years.

Quality journalists try to get the real reasons for our failings out to the public, to promote discussion & therefore bring about change. Woolnough & his hack mates just want knee jerk reactions & heated arguments in order to sell their poxy, sub-standard lying newspapers.

Unfortunately, people like him seem to be on the increase & not just in the tabloids.

Its more his and his media folks fault that the England team are crap than ours.

If the media would literally just leave the fucking England team alone and let them get on with their jobs, things would be alot easier. The media intrusion into players private lives is absolutly ridiculous. I dont care about rumours Gerrard has shagged whoever. Nobody in the right minds gives a shit about that.

The media should be more positive to our national team.

If they continue as the have been doing for the past god knows how long, maybe Fabio should start running training sessions in the offices of the daily star/the sun and other hack tabloid twats, see how they like their place of work being intruded.

Exactly mate.

If the media concentrated on the real reasons why the team failed. They might get the lazy fulkers at the FA to stand up and take notice.

Trevor Brooking was right when he questioned the coaching our kids get in the early stages of their footballing lifes, and tried to get the FA to change the coaching methods, but have they listened NO.

Yeah, it got a bit too heated for a while. I sought refuge in the off topic.
The atmosphere is quite alright now, though, as long as you don't mention Phillip Lahm.

Basically, the Lahm lickers have upset our NQDP who has the correct assessment of him as a player- very good going forward but not so good as a defender. It has spiralled from there. Get your handbag out and start swinging if you have an opinion.
