I'm actually enjoying it. If you look at it like a game of chess then you'll see how both teams are tactically counteracting each other, just a matter of that first goal. However, if you look at it as a Sunday League 'We Need 55 Goals By Half-Time' scenario, then you won't enjoy it.

nonsense.
Apart from first 15 minutes, neither team was executing any sort of game plan. No real idea in passing and no plan of how to go forward or how to defend sensibly.

It was rubbish.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I think Germany v Netherlands would have been a spicier final especially the way the Dutch are playing. I think we would have proper brawls on the pitch by now if this was Germany.

I'm getting fed up with this. The Dutch are trying to kick their way to winning.

Agree with you, I was hoping for this until Mrs 2Bob said she had Spain in the sweepstake at work ..

Been a game full of cropping though, have to admit, with lots of regret, that Webb has done a great job up to now.

Not a game to go down in history as a technical game - but then the whole world cup has been negative and a bit dull!

I think he has been excellent. Except that Iniesta should've been sending off.

I think you could be right, I do have a feeling that Holland will grab a goal here - Spain are getting fustrated and there's already been two 1 on 1's with Roben

Wise up. He ruined the game by keeping deJong on and that fuckin neanderthal Dutch captain. With the result he's let the game descend into a kick fest, and god only knows how many yellow cards he's flashed.

i'd offer some feedback on this, but i think my better half has probably summed it up best in her commentary over the duration of the match:

The Dutch team is really really bald.
The Dutch uniform has "too much" orange in it.
The Spanish team falls over a lot for no reason.
The Referee wants Spain to win.
That old bald guy for Holland should have scored.
The guy from Spain has hair like Captain Caveman. Or Night Ranger.
That kick in the chest probably hurt.
The Dutch goalkeeper can't kick.

HUP Holland HUP.

cheers

Aaaaaaah, you complain about the game yet say the ref, who should've sent a couple off and allowed it to fall into decay, is doing a good job.

Like I say, OK!

Iniesta is a diving, cheating little cunt. Twice. Complete fucking insanity for both of those calls. Little fucker.
