However the decision does seem to rest with Bellamy and contrary to the thread title City have not put Bellamy up for sale. Personally I think he will stay and as it will be his decision he can't moan about it later on which I suspect may be the best way to ensure that Bellamy is firmly 'on-side' this season.
They should just tell him he's staying & that's that. If he doesn't like it he can play in the reserves, we don't owe him any favours.
I recon he'll bust his balls trying to win us trophies & if his knees hold out, he'll be good for next season too. If not then apparently we won't miss him anyway. What the fuck could we possibly gain by selling him? All we can do is lose. Sign Vieira & sell Bellamy? Do me a fucking favour.

Don't see the point on insisting he stays if he wanted to try his luck elsewhere. I never see the point in clinging on to disgruntled employees.

Don't see the point on insisting he stays if he wanted to try his luck elsewhere. I never see the point in clinging on to disgruntled employees. I think he will stay anyway as he will see us as his best shot at actually winning something. Vieira has fuck all to do with it. More relevant would be sign Silva and sell Bellamy. Or do we automatically blame Vieira every time the club or Mancini does something we disagree with?

We've just signed Vieira so logically, those criteria can not be used against Bellamy, it wouldn't make any sense whatsoever. I agree that Bellamy will want to stay but if we force him out we are making a ridiculous & dangerous decision which could cost us dearly. We gain nothing from it, & as a fan, I personally don't want it shoving down my fucking throat every week as he turns in MOTM performances for someone else. It's shit on so many levels it's not even an option.

If he's disgruntled, fuck him. we do what's best for the club, which is to stick him in the stiffs not to have him helping someone else to beat us, finish above us, or knocking us out of the FA cup.

It makes no sense to sell Bellamy.

On his day he's got everything, pace, he can finish, hard worker, & gets the team going. The only fans who really dont like the guy are the ones who havnt had him in there team. You ask fans from City,L'pool,B'burn etc & most say they loved him in there team for reasons above. OK he can be a handfull from time to time but along with Mark Hughes I think Harry could control & get the best out of him for his last few seasons. Also he's a player that can play in several postions, all accross the midfield, just behind the striker & lets not forget how many goals & how well he played for B'burn when played as an out & out striker. I personally think he'd b a superb SQUAD player if he'd accept that.
