Personally I wouldn't mind if liverpool won the lottery. We could then compare media coverage when they go on a spending spree to bring their club up to scratch. It would no longer be clandestine hypocrisy if the coverage and comment wasnt the same, it would be blatant hypocrisy.

I checked on Roy Hodgsons website, nothing about it there, but he gave me a good price comparison on the loft conversion I'm thinking of doing.

Heres something that was posted on June 24th;

Let me firstly start by saying that normally I am the very last person to believe in rumour and hearsay. In fact as soon as I hear 'Hey mate I have a friend of a friend whose's sister shampoos Christian Purslow's cat....' I switch off and do a runner. Generally these 'rumours' are total tripe and consist largely of Lionel Messi being seen in an Estate agents in Gateacre.

This I feel is somewhat different. This particular piece of news comes from an ultra reliable source whose professional position means he is in a position to know what he is talking about. He has been correct in the past with many other LFC related news stories way ahead of it breaking in the press and he is certainly not a character who would make it up.

It has been suggested that the club has been sold for £560m to the Dubai group. They had allegedly given Purslow the task of removing Rafa before buying the club and bringing in a new man under their own terms. The deal is supposedly done and an announcement will be made the week of the 15th July, after the World Cup. This would make sense on top of yesterday's reports that the RBS are getting twitchy about Dumb and Dumbers attempts to find a new owner (Liverpool Echo report). I don't know any more than that but if this is as accurate as I believe it is then we may have just become the richest club in the Premiership.

It could be wide of the mark,if so I stand to be corrected. But past experience tells me that it could be more than just another wild rumour. Watch this space! and remember if it's true I broke the news first on Vital Liverpool, but if it turns out to be total bullocks it was Chubby's idea.

If they were so close to getting all that money why would they have appointed Roy Hodgson. An appointment that screamed fire fighter.

Ah the secret takeover that no one knows about - except for the fact it is all over the interweb. And a takeover that insisted on replacing a European Cup winning manager, who also came second in the PL the season before last, with Roy Hodgson.

Yep I'm a believer.

Anybody who would pay 560m for that club is nuts as the price paid for our club plus players so far doesn't amount to that and we are a better squad with a bigger stadium. Silly price to pay for a club where the first thing you gotta do is spend yet a couple more hundred million on players.
