That's how I read it too. I missed the game (fell asleep - pissed) and was pretty gutted when I watched SSN. It was only when I logged on here that I realised how badly they'd reported it.

The only thing missing from that story was 'It was as if David Silva didn't turn up' and 'Kolarov left his boots at home'!

The septic commentators were coming out with crap about us not being very good after spending all that money and what a great performance by Sporting club de Portugal. They didn't mention any of the multitude of players that we had missing or any comparison regarding the different stages of pre season that both teams were at ie Sporting pretty much up to full speed ahead of a uefa cup tie on Thursday whereas we've still got most of the squad on holiday after WC duty and it was only our 2nd game.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.
