It'll be sad if Bellamy goes. He is one of the players that drew me into being a City fan. He busts his a** for the team, his fellow players, and the fans. And he genuinely seems like he loves the club.

Big mistake to let someone like him go imho.

He's a troublemaker and has been a problem at every club he's been at... hence so many clubs... his shit performances and body language in pre-season scream get the fuck out. Mancini is no muppet... don't believe a word bellamy says.

I find it really hard to believe Bellamy would come out with that to a fan. He might be well known for airing his views but he's not stupid either. Personally I don't think he's going anywhere- he's a huge asset to us, we know it, he knows it, Mancini knows it.

I agree

I just can't see Bellers having said this to be honest. I can, unfortunately, believe that the Cook/Marwood thing is true but I just can't see Craig coming out with those comments in that way

Mancini will not won't to lose Bellers....I am positive of that...irrespective of what his relations with Cookie and Marwood might be

word for word what I was going to write. Even IF such thing would occure inside the club I would find it very hard to believe he would go and say stuff like that to supporters.

I don't like either Marwood or Cook and still believe Marwood's appointment was stupid move but surely he wouldn't be stupid enough to start civil war with Mancini, who clearly rates Bellamy, over a player who'll stay here maybe season or two anyway.

One thing though is how hard Marwood and Cook are going to push for Robinho to be reinstated. Mancini clearlo don't like Robinho or want him but Cook only thinks about saving his own face.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I think he will go and i dont think it will be cook and marwood i belive it will be mancini. Bellamy played all the games on the left wing last season. Adam johnson is a left winger and i think robinho will come back and make 2 for that position.

We have a fair few players for that position and although I'd rather see him stay on, it's probably the right decision unfortunately.

I agree - I would love to see him coming off the bench as an impact player he could cause real problems and that is probably best for his fitness levels

Re Cook and Marwood - they have jobs to do and will be measured by the development of the squad and commercial issues - well done with more sponsorship - and well done Cook for the US tour (although you were let down by the playing squad) - Marwood has been focussed on closing some deals with difficult clubs / agents / players

And then there is the squad size issue - without that limitation I am sure that Bellamy would be in the squad - it will come down to how many places are left after the transfers in I think

I'm sure that Mancini rates Bellamy however he also knows about the well documented training issues and the inability to be relied upon during a heavy schedule. I can't see Bellamy making the 25man squad

I see no reason to doubt the OP as some seem to have done, what's more it is absolutely in character for Bellamy ("I want to stay but they're forcing me out" could be his catchphrase) and also true to form for Cook and Marwood. I think Cook is the sort to hold a grudge and still remembers only too clearly Bellers stance in the aftermath of Hughes' sacking.

Personally I'd prefer him to stay but if he truly does want to then it will be in his usual belief that he can win his place the team, I honestly don't think that is true this time and so wonder just what negative influence a sulking Bellamy will be like if he's always on the bench.

I disagree. I think Mancini rates him and Mancini also likes to play with wingers who can cut in. Which was imo the reason AJ played on the right and Bellers on the left. He didn't even use SWP much on the right side did he?
But either Robinho or Bellamy will go I reckon

I have been "lucky" enough to speak to Bellamy on occasion and I would not at all be surprised if he did say this and if he did he was being honest. That's what he is! I would join all the rest who would be very disappointed if it ended up that he left.He got a great reception at the open day training which I felt said such a lot given that he is supposed to be trouble. For me he has been great for the club , was clearly one of the best players through last season and really should be in the squad for this season.

I just don't see how he can be so good last year and not good enough this to make the top 25!

well Doug you are best placed to comment on such things as you say you have been 'lucky' to have been spoken at by bellers..

I'm not necessarily disputing what the OP heard, but then reading a forum we have no proof of this. But more that personally i have never held much store in rumours. For starters i would question bellers supposed interpretation.. how does he know Cook and Marwood are trying to shift him out? or is it more his reading of the situation rather than hard fact. Second even if he was correct Cook and Marwood are not making those decisions independent of the manager. Mancini to me has already come across in his comments about Tevez last season as someone who can accept different viewpoints and passion in players, also the kind of person who can have a dispute or disagreement and keep it within the context of the arguement and not let it influence anything else. Mancini also seems pretty practical, as in will go for what he thinks will work rather than bother what people think or pander to the feelings of players. My own take like so many others is that Mancini will know the value of Bellemy all too well and irrespective of whether they are best mates or not he will just focus on that value. So whatever Cook and Marwood want, think or are in Bellemy's eyes trying to engineer, Bobby is just going to look at the value to the team and his plans and that will be the end of. imo So as i commented earlier i will only believe it when it happens, regardless of the OP.

This is how i see it. Can Roberto take a risk on a player who can sometimes play and sometimes cant? There is also reports that RSC is out as well due to his shite injury record although i am aware not many will give a shit about the later.

this is the thing about the 25 man squad rule - players with iffy injury records are gonna get dropped left right and centre

Well I cant see Bellers saying it to a random either, as you say. Nor can I see Cook & Marwood deciding which players are available. Those decisions are Bobby's and he said he had some difficult ones.
