He actually said he was the same with MON and Hughes as well, more or less, and that other players are the same, it's just Mancini's way.

Many players will be worried around the league but I hope Craig is in. He still makes the best 25 right now.

Absolute crap from Bellamy. If anyone actually believes this horseshit then they are beyond gullable. There is more chance of me playing for City this season than him retiring.

This is typical Bellamy, playing the martyr, playing the victim. He has done it every time he has found himself in limbo at any club and I can't believe people are buying it.

This must all come from the fall out when bellers was supposed to have been sent home from or walked? out of training after refusing to work with Mancini's fitness coach? Perhaps they see Bellers rightly or wrongly as a bad egg and want him out for non football reasons. Just seen the interview on sky and it didn't make good viewing, says he keeps asking if he has a future at the club but nobody will tell him whats going on. Says he wants to stay at City feels he has lots to offer but feels he's being frozen out.

Faded in the 2nd half of last season, is 31 on two dodgy knees and the manager doesnt rate him.

I admire his wish to stay but if we are hawking him to Wolfsburg, you dont have to be Hercule Poirot to realise he's a goner. Playing the poor little victim to the press is playing to the crowd and sadly some will buy into it.

being as cynical as I am, that was the first idea that came to my head after reading it.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Don't get the not spoken to Mancini since Feb bit. Thought they were exchanging angry words every 5 mins or so :)

Looks like Bellers is deemed surplus to requirements. Personally I think he is worth keeping for another season but not losing sleep over it if he doesn't make the 25. Bollocks on the quitting option. I also think the potential for injury impacts on who gets the nod and who doesn't. Interesting times we live in.

Bang on.

Mancini will of spoken to Physios etc and taken in to account that Bellamy is a risk and can be volotile as displayed last season when Mancini came in. (I think the guy was top draw during the first half of last season and I have a lot of time for him) however he is a Hughes Signing thats why he came to the club. Its patently obvious he doesnt get on with Mancini the OS has had nothing regarding him, where as if we look at the likes of Micah who along with Bellers is being linked with a move to London with Twitchy has had his own Diary / Blog and colums like this which i feel speaks volumes.

http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/Team-news/20 ... for-battle

In my eyes Mancini wants experienced players who arent going to fall apart half way through the season or throw a major strop when a dressing room of world internationals dont listen to him, at 31 Bellamy is a risk and with a squad of 25 a BIG risk.

In my eyes its pretty much a certainty that Bellamy is not going to make the 25 I truly wish he was, but only if we had the confidence that he would play like he did in the first half of last season and wasnt about to collapse with knackered knees!!

I do think Bellers may be playing the sympathy card but who wouldnt he`s been a proffesional footballer for many years and knows how to play the game!!

Sentimentality wins you nothing, neither does keeping on players who wont be picked, and are likely to kick up a stink if not playing - this wont help the club going forwards either.

Contrary to the belief of some, City will survive without Craig Bellamy - incidentally, in his 14 years as a pro how many winners medals does Bellamy have?

I definitely think he's still got something to offer the club as a whole.

I love how he stays behind after training to help some of the kids and give advice eg. Weiss. Tripper was saying that he offered £2000 to the person who sang the best song on the US tour, which will get some of the kids more involved a bit.

Would like to see him stay at the club even if it's just as a fringe player and go on to become a coach with us as well.

Sentimentality?! Are you just on a windup?!

Bellers wasn't just good 5 years ago..I'm not just looking back on what once was here you muppet!

This was LAST SEASON

Everyone singing his praises on here then..now he's over the hill with two bad knees and not good enough..despite keeping more expensive luxury players firmly on the bench last year

Just because we have bought new players that can play in his position what makes you think they will adapt straight away?

Bellers time and time again has proven himself in the Prem

We need players like him who actually work for their money

Fucking beggars belief

Not what he says at all, he says he's looking at what options are available and that if we hadn't sold him and he was not in the 25 he would consider retiring, ie if we have screwed him over to let him rot in the reserves. He also clarified the not spoken for 6 months bit in that he doesn't really talk to players individually and neither did Hughes or Martin O'neill, he means he hasn't taken him to one side and spoken to him about his future.

I suppose that one of the considerations is that if he's true to form and spends a couple of months out injured before Xmas that is a waste of a squad place. It's really difficult as Bellamy on form is a brilliant asset to the squad but if he's sat on the bench with fleeting cameos will he actually disrupt the club

you don't see many other teams' players coming out and having a whinge as much as ours do. Someone needs to sort all this excessive speaking to the media lark.

If it wasnt for the 25 man rule then Mancini might "probably" of kept him, but considering it is the rule then Im not surprised he is going.
We said ages ago that he does not get on well with Mancini and I think it was Doug who reckoned that was bolloks..............It might very well be that it wasnt bolloks afterall.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

why the fuck do people keep on banging on about him being a big injury risk!!? since he joined us i cant think of a long period of time when he has been out! why couldnt that continue for another year.

if you really want this guy to move on i think some of you have a screw loose. he is absolutey class. he tore most teams to shreads last year.

I hope he enjoys his retirement even though i think he's stupid to be thinking about it. He could be a valuable assett to someone in the prem or even his hometown side Cardiff.

That's the price you pay for sacking your managers every 18 months. A huge turnover of players and you are left with those on 4-5 year contracts who were in with the previous manager but not with the current manager.

It is why keeping Mancini for a few years is a must unless something major happens.

bullseye.

Finally someone picks up the main worry here. Our players seem to have little or no team discipline as far as keeping the team things in the team goes. This has been a problem for few years now and needs to be fixed. Captain is there to speak on behalf of players in media. Rest should shut the fuck up.

What beggars belief is that for the umpteenth time on this board, you have demonstrated you are completely unable to debate any point without resorting to personally insulting or abusing another poster. What a surprise.

Take the Bellamy blinkers off, and grow up ffs. I watched Bellamy tail off last season like many others on here - you sound like his bloody Agent. Remember you support the shirt at City, the players that wear it come and go. Bellamy's departure as and when it occurs will not spell the end of the world.
