Negotiations going on for months apparently but he was still kicking us in the teeth last week. Anyway it's alright he's happy now, I wonder how our club feels though ?
Manchester City Chief Executive Garry Cook paid tribute to Craig Bellamy after the striker completed his one year loan to Cardiff City.
Bellamy has been the subject of a number of queries from Premier League clubs, but made the choice to join his hometown club and try to help them to promotion to the Premier League.
And Garry Cook said that City fans will have fond memories of Bellamy’s committed showing for the team during his time at City of Manchester Stadium.
He said: “I am sure City fans have enjoyed seeing Craig play for City. He has been a great performer for us since joining in January 2009, and I would like to go on record as thanking him for his effort and determination to our cause.
“It is clear that it was right for Craig to make a move, and Manchester City has the utmost respect for the choice he has made.
“There was a lot of interest in Craig from a number of Premier League clubs, but he indicated that he didn’t want to settle for just another club, but wanted to go to help his hometown team and try to help them win promotion to the top flight.
“It was an admirable decision, and we wish him and Cardiff City all the very best for his new challenge.”
Bellamy was unveiled as a Cardiff player this afternoon and is set to make an emotional home debut for them against Doncaster Rovers this weekend.

Well Craig, I think you were a guiding light when you turned up and a gentleman when you left. Good luck at Cardiff and I hope you and your family have a great time in the land that you love. Farewell Boyo!

Just thinking out loud - not necessarily that's what I believe.

really dont get this if he has only good things to say about mancini.
shows the people who say he is just a trouble making twat were barking up the wrong tree.
..................and all those running down the club.
yep, ive been in the wrong as well. sounds like cook has helped him get the move he wants.
i do wonder about marwood though. didnt someone post a thread on here last week saying they saw bellers and that marwood wanted him out?

Credit to Skysports though for playing an interview with the fat blue-dipper cnut Neville Southall though straight after they'd shown the press conference - basically he just said everything Craig said was a lie and we'd shit on him big time!

We had a thread about some of us having fears about how the club is operating these days but this is a big answer to a lot of those fears, voiced by some long standing fans including myself. It's been decided for whatever reason that Bellamy isn't worthwhile on the football side (wrong) but the way we've sorted it is sheer class & will encourage other players to come to this club.
Well done to Cook & Khaldoon turning Bellamy's loss into great publicity for the club, making freinds rather than enemies. Quality.
..and those of you continuing to stir shit, & slag off one of our best players; there's absolutely no need for it.

the supposed 'quote' was that Cook and Marwood wanted him out - but he seems to have been very clear (to the contary) in his comments today - perhaps some just need to have an hate figure?

Dont think it'll stop a few more 'soul' threads though!
Quite possible, as Dave Jones said this had been negotiated for 'months', that Bellers actually instigated the whole thing. Especially as his family lives there and he said he'd been 'on the road' for 10 years.
ET, phone home!
Wonder what his missus feels about having him about 24/7?
