im friends with this kid on FB...he's a huge Scouse fan. the day we played them he posted a "Come on Liverpool" status update. Apparently, Gerrard is his hero.

now im tracking him like he's the enemy. If you were a kid who just signed up to play for City, why would you big up Liverpool in public like that?

On. My. Tits.

cheers

Maybe he got face raped?

Maybe he was doing it for a laugh/wind-up?

Maybe he was doing it for a dare?

Maybe he was doing it because he genuinely doesn't give a shit and wanted Liverpool to win?

Maybe a 40+ year old man shouldn't give a shit what a Slovakian child is posting on his Facebook status updates?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the issue.

Maybe if he was my son tho and he just started playing football for a new team i would ask him not to publicly root against them?

Is that really a hard concept for you to grasp? I don't think it's asking much.

Thanks

Thought you mentioned the other mystery African kid, Abdul Razak?

Nope not me. But I do know Albert Rusnak has been with City I think for at least 2 years as I first saw him play yonks ago.It might well have been for the under 15's

Looks like you've grasped the concept of a forum. Just for future reference, you don't have to thank people for posting their views on a topic, it's expected.

DoomMerchant wrote:Maybe if he was my son tho and he just started playing football for a new team i would ask him not to publicly root against them?

For starters, he hasn't publically stated anything, he posted it on facebook which is only supposed to be available to his "friends". As I posted previously, there could be any number of reasons that he posted that hurtful status update, I guess we'll never know. Curse the makers of facebook for not adding an 'unlike' button so you could let him know what you think of his mean words.

Not a difficult concept for me to understand at all, I often get upset about what Slovakian children post on social networking websites.

if you want to have an actual conversation about this...just start anytime. i'm here...take umbrage with my post, but in all sincerity i just found it shocking that a youth player would come to a new club and act that way. He may only be 16 or something, but he just signed a contract with Manchester City Football Club. i don't tend to be puritanical about things like this normally, but i just don't find it acceptable or reasonable behavior. And i can guarantee you that if my son just signed a contract with say West Ham United and he was a City fan...i wouldn't be fuclin letting him post pro-City shit on a website like that. it's just plain old-fashioned disrespectful to the team and club. He has loads of City fans that have friended him since, and because of, that fun little video that was made of him....is this crystallizing for you at all?

why you've chosen to have beef with me sharing that perspective is puzzling, but...you have, and yr free to...no worries.

keep taking cheezy potshots at me all you want, but you haven't given me any reasonable argument to let me know why my irritation on this topic calls for the outburst from you, other than that he is a "Slovakian child". i don't think his nationality matters and playing football at this level at 16 certainly makes him a lot more man than child imho when you weigh it all out.

cheers

I think you are right. However in this feller's case it doesn't really matter as he has already turned eighteen and therefore will not be able to spend three years with the club before turning 21
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Doomie,
I'm suprised the kid irritated you with his comments. Most kids of that age are expected to be irritating anyway.

I think we fans tend to expect a higher level of awareness from footballing kids than they are capable of. Most of them are just looking for a career in footie and to them, the club that employs them are just that...their employers.

Should he ever make the 1st team, as long as he plays well for us, I don't give a flying fuck if he actually hates pulling on a blue shirt and I think we'd be hard pressed to actually find a City supporter in our squad at the moment.

Sorry
I KNOW THAT YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU UNDERSTOOD WHAT YOU THINK I WROTE, BUT I AM NOT SURE YOU REALISE THAT WHAT YOU READ IS NOT WHAT I MEANT

Whether individuals are irritated by it or not, I'd be surprised if any young raglets would have the nerve to do something similar. Also, rightly or wrongly, if they did, they'd end up getting their little hats nailed on by the club, you can bank on that. They don't usually put up with any kind of disrespect from employees. Wonder what our response will be?

Abdul Razak is Ghanaian according to this - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manchester ... nd_Academy
Although according to this he qualifies to play for Ivory Coast - http://mcfcreservesandacademy.co.uk/razak/

Either way, he is African.
