I've not sent him one.
I've sent one to Piers Morgan, who I reckon has been quite vocal in favour of what is happening at City, and I've linked that piece of shit story in my email to him.

My email:

Brian, Brian, Brian. England finish the game having fielded 6 Manchester City players and that seems inadequate to constantly inaccurate, failing, pointless and hopelss journalists such as yourself. I do think that sitting round your bile camp fire on a Sunday morning is beginning to have an affect on you. Rubbing shoulders with the likes of sean custis and ian mcgarry isn`t good for you. I suggest you get a more proven journalist in, like Martin Samuel rather than the constant rotation of the same lame excuses that appear with their total disregard for accuracy and truth.

As for your article:

I`ve underlined the ENGLISH players in both squads.

I`ve just realised. Your article opening line should read:
"For one big reason why England fail so consistently at the World Cup and European Championship, look no further than The Emirates.

I eagerly await you to be man enough to tell the listener on Sunday Morning how utterly WRONG you have been.

Morning Piers,

As a lifelong City fan of 27 years, I have found myself distressed time and time again with the comments of the media since the ADUG takeover, ranging from tabloids, to broadsheets, and even on live television.
Any article you have written since the takeover regarding City, I feel has been extremely fair and well balanced and I'll admit that before you caught my attention I never thought you were a man who knew his football. I was wrong. You seem to be the only Journo who will actually speak his mind about football, rather than just jumping on the latest bandwagon for whichever club is the trendiest right now.
What I wanted to point out to you is a common phrase for certain Journo's (mentioning no names Cough sunday supplement Cough) about City "Ruining Football" with their spending. One particular chap who seems to have a massive Anti-City agenda, Brian Woolnough, even pointed the finger at City for England's embarrasment at the World Cup. Here is his article;

http://www.dailystar.co.uk/columnists/v ... the-teeth/

Now I'm sure you watched England last night, and noticed that City had 6 players on the pitch at the end of the game. Hardly ruining English football is it? By the end of the game Jamie Redknap was pointing this fact out, as was the chap who was doing the aftermatch player and manager interviews. Slowly people are changing their tune towards us, especially after our demolition of Liverpool. The whole country are in love with Joe Hart and Adam Johnson. If anything it seems City are saving England's national team, not ruining it.

What I'm getting at Piers, is after the article about you dining with Dr Al Fahim, and your expectations of what City could become, City fans have taken a liking to you, and kind of see you as our voice in the media.

It would only be right if you were the one to stick it to the know nothing sheep who consistenly bad mouth a traditionally humble club, just because they won the lottery, or because they are not Manchester United, and point out to them what is plain to see. Manchester City FC are good for English football.

Thanks in advance,

Daniel Lewis

Good Morning Brian,

I expect you have a full inbox this morning, although I guess you’ll be oblivious to what I’m going on about?!

Just In case you aren’t aware, I ask you to cast your mind back to July 7th 2010, when your report “Man City Spree Kicks England In The Teeth” appeared in the Daily Star.

Amongst other comments, you accuse City’s spending spree to be “at the detriment of the National team”, and that we’re a club with “no Interest in letting home grown talent develop

Again, just in case you aren’t aware, England beat Switzerland in Basel last night.

By the end of the game no few than SIX Manchester City players had somehow, been able to “infiltrate” the England XI !!

I say somehow, because weren’t these the same six English players who recently started the home game against Liverpool and assisted in City’s biggest win over the Merseyside club in 70-odd years??

Granted, City have technically bought everyone of the players. However, to be fair, Hart joined us in his late teens and has spent time coming through the Juniors teams and reserves plying his trade. In addition, Shaun Wright Phillips returned home from Chelsea, but is an Academy product. Did you ever Champion City’s academy when Wright-Phillips made an appearance for England as a Chelsea player?

It was a very good England performance last night after a poor summer. But steering away from that, the anti City diatribe from you and other members of the “Sunday Supplement” coven, surely now has to stop?

I’d like to think England won last night because of the City players, and not in spite of them. The fact that we have a good group of England players at the club will benefit the national team, in the same way Liverpool and the club from Trafford provided similar numbers of players at certain times over the years, and reaped the rewards.

I’d also like to think you may be humble enough to make some form of apology on Sunday?

We weren’t solely responsible for England’s exit at the World Cup, and we won’t solely be responsible for laying down the foundation and gaining any possible success in Poland/Ukraine in 2012.

However, our players will play a major part in England’s rebuilding over next the couple of seasons at least, and it’s something every “Anti-City” journalist up and down the country is going to have to stomach.

Many thanks for your time...

Nice one Danny, I really hope it gets the response it deserves. Piers seems well clued up in our situation, plus it would do him good personally to be on the side of the most successful side in footballing history from the beginning of their reign.

Piers seems to be one of the very few who have actually done their homework and give a sensible view rather than one to please the masses, also by giving City praise when deserved could be seen as controversial given the current climate, and we all know how the media love controversy.

My own effort was a little more succinct - ie. I couldn't be arsed making it long ;-)

Manchester City's 'ruination' of English International football

I refer, of course, to your thoroughly ludicrous article in the Daily Star ....... this one http://www.dailystar.co.uk/columnists/v ... the-teeth/

I knew when I read that preposterous bullshit that it would come back and bite you soon enough and so it did.
Quite how you ever became a football journalist is beyond me, and I can only assume you must have blackmailed somebody at Sky to land the plum job of of fronting their 'Sunday Supplement' programme.
I do hope you actually never get to read this e mail, on the basis that your inbox is stuffed to the rafters with similar.

Yours sincerely

I can't wait for the next instalment. What's it going to be next time? City ruin Rooneys marriage?

You're a bloody idiot for writing that sort of garbage, but no more than the idiots who believe it.

HYPOCRIT!!

From Wiki
Brian Woolnough is a British sports journalist, currently the Chief Sports writer for tabloid the Daily Star.

Previously a writer for The Sun, in 1999 the Daily Mirror tried unsuccessfully to poach him.[1] Woolnough was lured to the Daily Star in 2001 after owner Richard Desmond authorised a £200,000 pay package.[2]

In December 2004, following Norwich City's 4-0 defeat at Chelsea, Woolnough produced a Monday morning column that enraged Canary fans, saying that the Canaries were "gutless," that they would "stink the place out" with Premiership performances of a similar ilk, and that he "Hopes they go down, and good riddance." This instantly turned Woolnaugh into public enemy number1 in Norwich, and although refusing to withdraw his comments, he later visited Carrow Road after receiving 450 eMails and the local newspaper getting involved with the debate.[3]

Since 2007, Woolnough has been the presenter of Sky Sport's Sunday Supplement, replacing icon Jimmy Hill.

SO HE ONLY MOVED FOR THE MONEY!!!!!

Dont forget the donut that is Des Kelly at The Mail too - here's his bollox in case we had forgotten

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... gland.html

My email to Woolnough

Dear Mr Woolnough

Given your quite ridiculous and totally unfounded rant against Manchester City (see link - http://www.dailystar.co.uk/columnists/v ... the-teeth/ ) I would hope you would be redressing the balance by apologising, after 6 of the aforementioned City squad, purportedly “killing the England team” in your warped view, were all fielded last night in a very crucial 3-1 away victory in a European qualifying game.

Given the ages and rather crucial roles of young players like James Milner, Adam Johnson, Joe Hart et al, are you man enough to admit you in fact got this completely wrong, and print a full apology either on the pages of the national newspaper you write for or on the Sunday Supplement programme? The panellists on this programme seem to take turns in taking pot shots at Manchester City for their own cheap amusement, so I look forward with great interest to seeing some humble pie on the table in front of you all, if indeed you are prepared to report about our club in a fair minded fashion, rather than continuing your own slant against the club as they dare to try to break up the current cartel at the top of the Premier League.

City have 6, count them, 6 England internationals playing important roles for England and another two capped players in Micah Richards and Wayne Bridge who remain in contention with Bridge effectively out of the squad due to the behaviour and low morals of the former captain. Bad for the England team are we? Report the facts please and not utter drivel.

I look forward with interest to your next tv appearance and column.
