It's a short sighted mentality of our supporters saying we don't need to bother with the league cup.

2001 Liverpool
2002 Blackburn Rovers
2003 Liverpool
2004 Middlesbrough
2005 Chelsea
2006 Manchester United
2007 Chelsea
2008 Tottenham Hotspur
2009 Manchester United
2010 Manchester United

Nuff said MRM. No fucler can argue with that IMO.

Exactly right, and IMO only Chelsea and scum can afford to turn their noses up at it

we havent the choice to pick and f**kin choose what cup we win,its been too long and realistically this was the one we had the best chance of winning.
After 34 f**kin years if we had won it, not one city fan would have the balls to say it was a worthless cup.

Trophies are hugely important especially as we haven't won a cup for 34 years.

I'm firmly supportive of Mancini and think he is the right manager for us but hugely disappointed with his side.

This.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

It's not much kop anymore, imo. I like the home nations idea.

I am still angry and disappointed we didn't take this competition seriously enough this year, especially after reaching the semis last season.

I also cannot understand fans who want to devalue this cup. Surely by accepting that we diminish our last achievement of a trophy back in 1976 (which I was able to watch on TV as a 9 year old!).
