While we're missing defenders that might be true. He's a great option to have if it's midfielders we're missing with a full compliment of defenders.
Our options consist of Milner, de Jong, Yaya, Barry, Vieira and Michael Johnson. It's easy to see up looking at Zabaleta and Kompany in centre mid over the season. Obviously when we have a makeshift defence it's different.
