How unrealistic is that game? Nobody could ever score 7 goals in real life

I might be wrong here but I seem to remember Afonso Alves scored 7 one game for Heerenveen before he joined Borough?

I know a borough fan, i'll ask him tonight.

You slated his performances this season, you were bang out of order as we are only seven games in, he has played less than 2 hours of football, had no starts and had an injury. I was merely pointing out your stupidity.

If you want to criticise his previous performances from past seasons, then fair do's but i'll correct you if you slag off a player for his performances so far when he has hardly had the chance to play.

I hate to see supposed blues slagging off our own players without foundation, that is disgraceful.

I will stand to be corrected on this then, although I seriously doubt it will happen.............

In those 2 hours of football do you honestly think he has played well and made the most of the opportunities put to him by his team mates? I dont think so anyway, although if he scored as many times as he has been caught offside we would be flying!

I have an opinion on a player so get over it, you obviously love the lad and that is your perrogative, but dont have a fucking outburst at me because I dont think he's earning his £160k wage!

I thought he did well in the 2nd half v Newcastle & if he continues to play like that, will surely come good with the confidence of a goal or two, provided people stay off his back.

Spot on, he's had some good moments and some bad. I feel that some want to see him fail, its pathetic.

I dont particularly like Adebayor any more than any other player, but I believe every player deserves the chance to prove themselves before we begin to destroy their confidence. With a good run of games he could be very dangerous, he could also be terrible.

Yes I am a big Adebayor supporter, but that is because he wears a blue shirt, I will continue to show my support for him until the day that he either leaves or proves he isnt good enough. Until that day I will correct any tit who unfairly criticises.

Adebayor has already proved that he has the ability, he can be a fantastic player.. as the word goes unplayable. That isnt the issue with him as we know, he has to show that he has the appetite to be reliable and perform week in week out, otherwise he isn't useful to the team. There is a great opportunity for him to be one of our star players and i for one hope that he gets in there and becomes that. Ade, Tevez and Balotelli all seem like unplayable players, if they all appear on the pitch at some point together playing well.. that would be frightening.

very sorry to report that after winning the confidence of his manager in spectacular fashion, he then went onto something of a goal drought resulting in a humiliating 29th minute substitution against Stoke City - perhaps not the messiah we had all hoped for - a real shame imo

Hat trick against Real in the CL final for me.

I got fired the next week for a poor league finish, but what can you do?

Well, the board told me they wanted me to win the league, around Christmas we were in 4th, so I decided to put all the resources towards the CL, hoping that would make up for failing in the league. Evidently not. Stuck at Birmingham of all places now.
