Thank fuck he isn't English or Sunday Supplement would turn into a group wanking session while they had a slideshow of Bale in the background.

And to make it worse we'll probably fucking bid for him this summer

if we do it will probably be one of the best pieces of business since the takeover. He's fucking class.

Gareth Bale is fuclin brilliant.. i really dont know any other player who can make nearly 99% sure he gets a delivery into the box in that no-mans land of between the keeper and the onrushing attacker EVERY TIME. Absolute class and makes it look like he isnt even trying.
The thing is that isnt a reaction to tonight, he is doing that game in game out every week. The end of last season and the start of this he leaves everyone else standing by comparison, consistency of final ball delivery is almost inhuman.

Why do you hate him?

Immensely talented player I'd love to play for England. I would actually do a little wee if we bid for him.

Mates have asked me that and i'm not entirely sure why I just do. Probably the fact he plays for spurs plays a part in it

i do hate his hair -- although i am bald -- and his caveman-like/pretty boy model good looks. Hope that helps.

wish he played for City tho for sure...fantastic little cunt of a fucking player. The fact that he plays for Spurs....well...

Also, let's be fair...Spurs were playing against Rafa-led Inter, which is like a different side than the one the Special One led, no?

cheers

Bale is good always liked him but he doesn't do it game in game out every week. He didn't do it against taggarts mob nor against Everton in their last two PL games. In both games he was marked out of them. Beyond that I couldn't say as I don't follow Spurs that closely but against Inter he has been nothing short of astonishing and there will be a major wankfest over the lad and deservedly so.

We will persist in this notion that its 'always another player' to sort out our problems and that other teams attack or do things better all the time. They don't. Spurs on their day can be a lovely side going forward yet they are just as prone to balls it up (Wigan at home; West Ham away) or roll over with little or no fight especially manu and have their tummies tickled.

AJ does need to look at his final ball though :)

And for all those that want to/wish we had signed Bale are you saying you would have waited 3 years for him to get to where he is now? Bearing in mind the enormous reservoirs of patience we have for new signings that don't hit the ground running - yeah right. Already had grumblings about Balotelli and he has being here as many months and Bale has in years and played one full PL game to date. Bale played what 20/30 PL games without being on the winning side? Face it. Bale would have been shipped out long ago and no one would have batted an eyelid.

Bob should show our attackers & fullbacks a video of Bale's use of the ball, not just tonight but in general. Then show them Aaron Lennon's contribution from similar positions & ask which of the two players they think their efforts most resemble. Then tell them to imagine the supporters watching Bale on tv & then watching them in a game & ask what conclusions they would make if the situation was reversed & they were in the stands watching it rather than on the pitch. Then ask them what they're going to do to put it right.

David Silva can have a cup of tea & a cream bun & listen to music whilst this is happening.

We should also show our full backs how to defend against him, i.e don't basically give him a hand written invitation to knock it down the outside of you as he 99% of the time he will beat you for pace. For a case in how not to defend against him, see Maicon in both games in the CL.

Agreed. Show them the Inter vids as an example of what not to do and then show the Spurs/Everton game where all you will see is the lesser Neville handing Bale his arse. If you give a quality and pacey player like Bale acres of room against a lone fullback with little to no support he will dick you stupid.

Mourinho would have doubled up on Bale and snuffed out the threat. Rafa who wants to be as un-Mourinho as possible has gone for the entertaining and open approach with almost zen like zeal which I guess if your predecessor has won everything is probably the only way to go because its the only route not explored by Jose.

I have learnt to loather Spurs.

Right now, they are playing like I want City to play and I was increasingly agitated watching them. Sorry, but they appear miles better than us.

Tbh, even though I don't like the twat, Inter looked a miles better side under Mourinho than they did under Bob & so far under the fat waiter, certainly in Europe anyway & it will be interesting to see if he can get do the same with the posing peacocks at Madrid.

Strangest thing with Bale imo is that someone somewhere once told him he was a fullback! Who's fucking idea was that!!? He was absolute dogshit & probably the worst fullback in the top two leagues. It almost finished him as a player. The bloke who 1st looked at Bale & thought 'fullback' should not be working in football. FACT (as Rafa would say).

True. I have a lot of time for Jose and he is in my opinion the best manager in world football. Inter last season reached their peak under Jose in a winning streak that Mancini effectively put in motion. In fairness to Rafa (who I also rate) Jose did nothing special in his first season save replicate what Mancini did. Inter went out just after the group stages in the CL if I recall. It was the signings of Sneijder from Madrid and Eto'o in the Ibra swap + cash plus I think Milito which set them on their way. Interestingly these signings were down to their DoF as Jose doesn't make the best buys imo. People forget though that Inter were in danger of not qualifying from the group stages last season amid rumblings of dismissal however Jose being Jose pulled it out of the bag as he usually does.

Rafa had zero to spend in the summer so he is left with Jose's team that won everything so all Rafa can do is be different hence his talk of giving 'the team back to the fans' and playing a more open game. That said Rafa's astonishing lack of reaction to Bale in last nights game is very odd. You can play a more open game without being a twat over it. Very unlike Rafa albeit Inter will qualify comfortably but even so...
