Shows how much faith Mancio has in Lescott and Bridge.

Disappointed Ade isn't starting but hopefully Balotelli plays well meaning we've confidence up front for the derby.

Yep, wouldn't post it otherwise ;-)

Ade must be well pissed and I wouldn't blame him.

Agree completely. It's great that NDJ's back and Milner's been benched. James has been decent but hasn't been good enough to warrant starting every single game.

feel sorry for lescott. mancini has to choose between him and kolo and one of misses out. bridge isn't bad as a back up though.

We're destroying Milner imo by playing him on the left. He needs to play in the centre, preferably with De Jong. He has the ability and engine to be a great box to box midfielder.

Hmmm slightly surprised Kolarov isn't deemed quite ready yet but not at all surprised that Zaba gets the nod in front of Lescott. That was the plan for the Arse game until Zaba either was ill or got a last minute injury. I am surpised though that Mario starts although I suppose he will be more left sided than a full front man ,unless he start up top and Tevez plays all over the place.

Don't care as long as we win and I am sure we will today

Pretty sure Zaba won't see more than 45mins max at LB, bet he was started over Bridge/Lescott as he plans to sub in Kolarov for someone in the midfield at the break and then move Zaba into the midfield:-)

Also pretty sure Boateng will make you regret that statement over the next 3-4 weeks. He is great, remember that cross for the Barry header before he got injured? Finally someone in our team that can cross the ball!

Well I hope this works but it's immediately another group of players who are going to be asked to change roles & play in a slightly different way to that which they're used to & yet another huge gamble. I suppose one of his gambles must work sooner or later so lets hope it's today.

I would prefer Zabba at left back rather than Boateng as Boateng then only has one set of problems to worry about rather than also being on his wrong foot. I suspect though that Boateng will be left back. Wherever he plays, both he & Zabaletta are likely to be on their own in that formation as I would expect WBA to draw the midfild to one side then switch the play to leave a fullback exposed or reliant on Balotelli or Silva (ie exposed).

Milner should be playing ahead of either Gareth Fatty or Fatty Toure. Id also prefer to see Kolarov at LB and then subbed if he struggles or his lack of fitness shows.

Not playing Milner today makes the decision to take him off early in mid week all the more bizarre. Nice attacking line up though, although as Ted points out its another new group of players.

Lee Probet is the man in the middle today.

He has only taken charge of us twice beo=fore in the league and we have one defeat (0-2 away at Portsmouth in Feb '09) and one draw (1-1 at home to Hull last November) so we are due a win!

And we've not beaten Brom in the last 4, so we're due one there aswell.

It's a cert!
