Hasn't Mancini managed him previously? He obviously knows what he is like and is confident that he can handle him. Football has always had talented mavericks, and I reckon we could have one in Mario.

Let's give him and the Boss a bit more of a chance.

I don't think many have written him off and everyone wants him to do well. The problem is that this isn't just a case of him being a bit over eager and head strong, he's acted like a maniac and has appeared hell bent on getting on everyone's tits in his last two games. He's young but that doesn't mean he shouldn't have some grasp on how to behave.

I'm really worrid about him from what I've seen so far. He appears to lack any sort of self control and any sense of professionalism.

I trust Bobby's judgement but in terms of giving him a chance, he shouldn't need one when it comes to cunduct and behaviour. It isn't something that he should need to work on, he just needs to stop acting like twat, now. Stop diving about, stop noising people up, stop having a pop at the ref and focus on your football.

I posted this in the Mancini thread, but its more relevant here:

I'd like to see us appeal, just so he's available as an option against the rags. Worse case scenario, he gets a four match ban and is available against the filth... those four games being Birmingham, Fulham, Stoke and West Ham.

I am not so sure he would be a great selection against the scum. Playing left side against that nutter Fabio and the way he attacks players would be asking for trouble imo.The chances of him reacting would be about 100%

thought the ban didn't take effect for 7 days?

if they do appeal i'd just point at the tom huddlestone one from yesterday and the fact that Mulumbu probably committed about 15 fouls in the game before he was even booked!

You know, the REALLY funny thing about that post.

You called me a moron whilst making a spelling mistake.

I would actually address your first line but if you saw the game today and were happy with his performance, I fear reality is beyond your grasp.

grammar mistake, not a spelling mistake.

also, it's refreshing having someone other than tevez who can score a goal ... and someone other than johnson who can take on a man and beat him ... and someone other than silva with an eye for a pass. All in one player. But you're not bothered ... if we only had bellers back we wouldn't need any of em anyway.

OK just checked if the Carling cup 2nd leg was a Tuesday or Wednesday as I couldn't remember and it was indeed a Wednesday night game (27 Jan), therefore, I think we can be safe in the knowledge that if we do appeal, he WILL be available for selection. However, Mancini will probably start him on the bench anyway.

I'd take the risk, he would not make the same mistake twice.

If we don't appeal this is his availabilty til the ban is up

United OUT
Birmingham OUT
Fulham OUT

United IN
Birmingham OUT
Fulham OUT
Stoke OUT
Salzburg IN
Bolton OUT

Mancini should do more than start him on the bench...he should squeeze his nuts in a lemon press until the kid gets his fucking head on straight.

Poll please -- does scoring goals in a City shirt allow a player to act like a spastic, falling-over/cheating cunt of a footballer?

His performance today was Trantastic imho. In all the positive and negative ways that it should be read into.

cheers

p.s. for all the stick Tevez gets from some folks lately about "wanting to quit, etc" you'd never in a million years see a performance like that from him today -- outside of the goals scored of course.
