Mancini out?
Not unless there's a better option.

Maybe even O'Neill in a caretaker type role.
This has to end now. We are not getting better. We are treading water and he has taken the squad backwards and team spirit and passion is on it's arse.

Doesn't sound good does it but at least it's a plan. What is the plan we have at the moment?

We can still salvage it now.
Who would you go for?
Well we're in the happy position where compensation wouldn't be an issue so wave a few quid under the nose of a few big names.
Someone like a Louis Van Gaal

At the moment we are being asked to buy into a mentality; a style; a philosophy of football which I can no longer bear. And there's no need for it because with the class of players we actually already have we should, and could, be playing expansive, attacking football. Football the likes of which we all dreamed we'd see when the Sheik's fortune turned up on our disbelieving doorstep.
As it stands we have developed a sometimes watertight defence - not always mind you.
But with that we have a team who don't move the ball quickly enough, movement off the ball doesn't create triangles or any other system to give the man on the ball multiple options. Our midfield seems always to be a totally separate entity, disjointed from the forwards. We have little width, then when we do have width we have no target.
I could go on and on but the flaws, in an attacking sense, are clear to see.
It seems to me that many of you opposed to firing Mancini base your opposition in the fear that it would be a retrograde step because there's nobody else available or we might get somebody who would rip up what we already have.
Well let me tell you, I'd prefer to see Sam fucking Allardyce in charge right at this moment - that's how bad it's getting and you all need to wake up to it.
Oh, and one more thing ...... this thread isn't a reaction purely from today's shambolic nonsense. I've been thinking about it for weeks now - today just confirmed in my mind that enough is enough. I want to see an English Barcelona not a step back to Inter Milan of the 70s and 80s.
Hey! I'd even have Hughes back - how's that for desperate?

Nah Dub, I think Twat was a fair call.
Wonderwall wrote:it wasnt pretty and attacking wise we were not effective, however, we have to give Mancini more time. Sacking him now will be as ridiculous as sacking Hughes was IMO. Since when did we have a divine right to beat everyone, we are very difficult to beat which is a great basis to work from. Mancini clearly thinks Balotelli will have a big say along side Tevez, he has been injured forever and then got his ban, which he is two games into now and will be back soon.
No idea what was up with Ade as he could have been the winner if available today.
Some of the posts are way OTT. Taggart was lucky to scrape a draw, I dont hear the scum calling for his head. Please have a little perspective.

It's almost 4am here and I'm online to vent about the game because I'm frustrated. But sacking the manager is not the solution.
As I posted earlier on this thread, Mancini adapt, not out.

I'm increasingly thinking he can't adapt mate. We should be set up to TRY to steamroller past teams like Birmingham. We were actually set up to squeeze them into a narrow 1-0 defeat.
