Following Alan on twitter now! English seems limited, but could be fun for a bit.

He actually had a good game, and given his age, how unacclimatised he would be to the temp, I think he would be a good buy in Jan, I think our EDS could potentially make a cracking player out of him.

Certainly not ready for our first team, but one for the future?

The City humour is well and truly back. This season is really beginning to make me smile from a crowd point of view with the likes of 'Let's all do the Poznan', 'Boring, Boring, City' and now the infamous 'Alan, Alan, give's a wave', when's the CD being realeased ;-)

Anyway, 'I'm friends with the Invisible Alan', how 'bout you?

From his Wiki page, the bit in bold made me laugh out loud:

Alan became popular amongst supporters of Manchester City F.C. in the December 2010 Europa League tie between the two clubs. After coming on as a 57th-minute substitute, Alan repeatedly received some of the loudest cheers of the night and a number of terrace chants, and has developed something of a cult following by the club's supporters. Shortly after the match, his Wikipedia page was altered to include such outlandish statements as 'he can fly', 'he is the best footballer ever' and 'Superman wears Alan pyjama's'. Whether or not he understood why it was found funny, he responded by twitter, 'Thank you al you for THE support i love you guys. Manchester city'.

There have been many famous heroes in the history of mankind
Some are born great, some achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon them
Of whom by no means few have served to glorify the name of England's green and pleasant land
But there is one whose claim to fame
By mention of his very name
All other claims doth put to shame
So if you would hear of untold glory
Gather around and listen to my story......ALAN!
