I'm willing to see how this pans out before I crucify him but he's certainly gonna have to resolve this sooner rather than later. His agent is no doubt largely responsible for this situation. The thing is, surely only clubs in Spain can afford him so how is that going to get him nearer to his family in Argentina? Somebody somewhere hasn't really thought this one through

It's also left me thinking that his petulant booking in the Bolton game was deliberate as he knew he would be suspended and would then be allowed back home by our very understanding club

Very dissappointed as most others on this board are. Strip him of the armband and bench him for a couple of games, neverton and the geordies spring to mind.

On a side note i think the pondlife that represent players are under estimating some fans ie stretford and his type. I can see one day some fans going round to one of these cunts houses dragging them out and goinf to fucking town on them. This wouldn`t be my approach and I wouldn`t particularly support it, however I wouldn`t flinch if it happened either. We know all clubs have fans like this and i think it`s a possibility.

We should ban his agent from all City land aswell.

I am scanning other boards and this kind of sentiment seems to be growing. I just hope the Citizens can keep their anger to their chants. Violence accomplishes nothing unless you are a Millwall or Oakland Raiders' fan.

Maybe it's me being naive but I really do think he feels he is missing out on his daughters childhood. If he goes I think it will be back to argentina on a big pay cut. He is already one of the best paid. Players and probably could have got more from us.
I also thought Spain had got rid of the tax free status for new players.

what is actually worth of the Empire of the Market is anti-trust in competition. For every cunt you may find in the world, there always be a cunter one...
Just to say... if I was in charge of responsabilities at City my first countermove would be to off-load some good quids on the pocket of some senior Fifa registered players'agent (I could name few, very ruthless and sneaky) with the un-official mission to take over the kia-tevez contact first, and some of kia portfolio a bit later...

Very poor from Carlos especialy being our club captain its even more of a shock.

The media are going to absolutely mill this for everything it is, finally they have something with real substance to go on.

From the clubs point of view with money being of little issue it has to be asked why he was not given the 1 year extension and the extra dollars as unlike swp for instance his performances back up his demands.

That said hes really thrown a spanner in the works just as we finally look capable of mounting a serious title challenge.I think even us the fans are starting to believe now and for our captain to do this is exactly what we did not need with the momentum we have built up recently.

It has to be said hes acting like a complete wanker here, i would hate to lose such a fantastic player but as captain he should be setting an example and quite frankly this is pathetic.

if it's really the contract, just renegotiate it and get it done. Without all the media fuss...poor form on both sides really. i sometimes have to negotiate for employees to stay midstream in critical projects, and it fucks me off, but what can you do?

i kinda really dislike him today....dunno how i'll feel next week, but...this feeling is just shit. Complete shit. The dressing room has to think he's a cockface, no?

Bingo and the crew to head over to his mansion in ski masks maybe?

cheers

Rooney seemed to get away with it by blaming his agent. You can get all the advice in the world, he makes the decision an the end of the day.

Carlos is the same. If he is homesick, an goes home, then fair enough. Anythin else then I'm gutted. Modern day football :(

What the hell is going on? Is it because Rooney's just started earning more than him? Is it because he's got a problem with Mancini? Is it ................ just too many question's at this moment in time.

At least we can put to bed the bullshit about him retiring and the bullshit about him being pissed off with agents etc, if he was, he wouldn't have gone about it this way. One thing is for sure, this could cause us serious problem's on and off the pitch, and if it's not sorted very soon, could really hamper our season.

Can we really afford to let him go?

That's how it should be imo.
He should stay at City or go to the Argies.
Depending on the true reason, which at the moment I believe to be the problem of his family in Arg, he would be a hypocrite to move anywhere else in europe (though the family could possibly be more easily pursuaded to move to Barcelona for example...)

But if he's missing his daughters, why has his agent asked City for an extra year on his contract? The two things don't add up at all. If Tevez wants to go back to Argentina, you can be bloody sure his agent doesn't want that.

NOTW states he was offered an extra £100k to stay and refused it as his problem is Bobby and Cookie.

agreed...this homesickness story is prollee true but he won't be plying his trade in Argentina anytime soon i don't believe. What can Boca really pay someone like Tevez and why wouldn't you want to play against the best teams in the world every chance you could get?

why the fuck can't he just sort getting his children to Manc? Clearly their mother doesn't care about or need his money so she tells him to fuck off i guess.

On a side note, i'm homesick every time i travel for business. I am sitting in the Miami airport typing this not having been home for over a week. And yes a big pay raise would make me forget all my angst, for a brief minute at the very least. Just sayin.

On the other hand, maybe "Carlo" needs to spend a couple weeks with my children and see how he feels about being so far away from his.

cheers

Hahaha. We all laughed our arses off when Rooney did this. Talk about getting bitten on the arse.

Fuck off Carlos. You're a brilliant footballer, probably the best signing I can ever remember but you appear to be a complete dick.

Isn't he the architect of his own misfortune anyway, for 'playing away from home' so to speak?

It's quite simple, Money! Renegotiating his contract brings his agent a huge slice and if the club are saying that he keeps coming back to the table for more, then I put this move down to his slime-ball agent, using Carlos' current situation and state of mind to force his hand. We also know that Carlos wants to maximise his earnings ready for his early retirement, so that may have influenced his decison also.

Bad form from Carlos and Kia which has left a very bad taste in my mouth. I'm afraid I've already resigned myself to him leaving and my previous thought's and expectation's regarding him at the club are now irreparably damaged. No one man is bigger than any club and I do not want to see some kind of Rooney'esque back-track that makes us the fan's look complete and utter moron's when we have to 'Love' a player who doesn't give a fuck about us or our club.
