There will be more talking especially with Tevez and Mancini to hopefully sort out whatever the problems are between the 2 of them and hopefully they can smooth it over and get on at least till the end of the season. We might well end up with a situation like the scum had with tranny where he plays and commits till the end of the season but there is an agreement that he goes for next year. Where he goes who knows.
I would think exactly this. In terms of playing Tevez will do the professional thing he has shown that already elsewhere. Meantime both the club, manager and Carlos can work out what the real problems are.
There is definitely something that doesn't quiet meet the eye behind this. City have come out fighting by emphasising a disappointment with the agent. i think it yet has to be 'found out' what Tevez wants exactly. We saw recently with Rooneygate a fucled up way of going about business.. we have yet to find out what this is all about and the focus will now go directly onto Tevez to explain himself.
One take that is a reading between the lines, is that Mancini has identified that we both should not be reliant on Tevez and also that his style does cramp others. If Tevez has gotten a sense of this and that the longer term role for him will be reduced or tempered and his dealings with Mancini have confirmed this, then this could a kind of pre-emptive strike by Tevez.
There is no doubt at all that Tevez is very single minded, his style of play shows that very clearly, and while brilliant we have all seen that it can also lead to bad decisions and wanting everything for himself.
I wouldn't be surprised if this is a kind of knee jerk by him that his agent has amplified and given a bit of time he may well re-assess it.
We were always likely to try and bring in two strikers anyway, so we should just see what sort of quality they are and take it from there.
You know, something similar struck me this morning. There I was on my allotment wondering how to dig frozen soil, having a cig and contemplating the verities of the universe and a few things connected.
First, listening to 606 last night Robbie savage was replying to a City fan, underlining that the Jan transfer was coming up. Then he went on about how he's a big mate with Bobby and they had a meal out recently. He said he couldn't betray confidences but hinted something big was in the pipeline.
Second, at the moment Tevez is, or at least sees himself as being, the biggest fish in the pool. Perhaps he thinks that this won't last and sees his standing within the group under threat. It isn't always about the money for pro footballers. The money they're on reflects their status and for such an ultra-competitive bunch of alpha males counts for an enormous amount.
Third, perhaps he doesn't like the tensions in the dressing room which end up with team mates falling out and all the rest of it - just wants love. Personally, I think such tensions are a result of building a winning mentality, not pretty, but part of the process. I'm not sure that everyone snug in their comfort zone is the way forward.
Fourth, perhaps he really does hate Bobby so much that his stomach churns every morning as he contemplates another day at the hell that is Carrington, and it's dawned on him that the club aren't going to sack Mancini so it's time to go.
Then again perhaps he's homesick and I've got a dirty mind.
