Get Johnson back on the left and Sweep on the right and I guarantee we would look a lot more dangerous. More balanced. If we had a tall in the middle we might even get some headed goals. Perhaps not every game but it's a great plan B.

And I guarantee you our defence would be under a lot more pressure and we would ship more goals.

Why? Sweep gets back. He's a great defender and has saved our asses on many an occasion.

Just because BFS is out of a job, I don't think it's right that you have stolen his playbook, shame dazby, shame.

Unless the likes of Tevez and Balotelli intend to be heading balls that are 3 inches off the ground near the front post, or attempt to tackle the first defender SWP can't cross past with their heads then scoring headed goals are unlikely.

Dzeko has outstanding heading skills. He'll be able to do it.

It would be wonderful for club & fans if he suddenly turned the clock back but to me, he just doesn't look as good a player, in any aspect of the game, as he was when we 1st sold him. Kind of like David Bentley since he left Blackburn.

Thing that makes it seem like he really doesn't have a future is that he doesn't even feature in teh games where you'd think he'd be able to do well.

Seems the dwindling pace may have sapped his confidence, and he, perhaps due to his size (Platt's thinking???!?) doesn't have enough alternative strings to his bow to still mix it at the highest level. Sometimes he looks like he couldn't beat an egg.

he is a city legend from his first spell there can be no doubt of that. these days even when he beats a few players his end product has all but vanished. i would have started him against blackpool mind. there are teams in this league he could be dangerous against, it's a gamble playing him these days but that's flair players for you i guess. don't want him to leave but he won't be happy sat on the bench.
