Bolton I think. Pass from Vieira.

100% of fans would agree with you.. but that is exactly the problem with him.. he didn't.. and worse he didn't look like he wanted to either. His quality is not in doubt, his commitment makes him a luxury that just isn't worth it.

The article does say that the Andalucian club are the only club with the financial clout to pay for his transfer/signing. To me it says transfer with readies although it could perhaps mean his wages. They´d need to get close to 20m imo. Just signed a couple of Atleti players as well

He's worked hard enough this season when he's got a chance imo. Bob just doesn't seem to fancy him as a player. I think the problem is fitting him into a system rather than his workrate, which is twice Balotelli's at present. He's never on top form these days though.

Sadly, when he scored that goal v Arsenal & ran the length of the pitch, it was his peak performance for City & the end of a fantastic spell rather than the beginning, as we'd hoped. If he'd maintained the standard he'd shown up til then, we wouldn't need Dzeko now. No striker could touch Adebayor if he reached that level every week, not Dzeko, Drogba or anyone. Pity.

i was lucky to be at the Arsenal match, and his run the length of the pitch was one of the most emotional and amazing things i have ever seen. It was beautiful...i'll always love him for that.

I still have a soft spot for Ade. Dunno why he couldn't get a look instead of Jo in these matches which Jo has played, but you can't argue with success.

I hope he finds success. Arsenal fans are giving me the "i told you so...he's a prick" argument and i disagree with them. it's us who are casting him aside. The guy can play football.

If only he could just get with the plan & play as a member of this team/squad, imagine the options we could have up front & the different questions we could ask of team's defences? If Adebayor had Andy Carroll's attitude & just tried to play like a centre forward, he'd scare the living shit out of centre backs the world over. What a terrible waste & missed opportunity.

I will be sad to see him go as for me he is a top striker and has shown his talent on many occasions for us and for Arse before us.

Somehow he never got a good run of games and was interrupted by the ban after the Arse match and then the African Cup incident.
Then after he came back once Mancini had taken over, he had another 3 match ban and a run of injuries which left him more out than in the team.
For some reason which is a mystery to me, it is clear that RM doesn't rate/like him, otherwise no sane manager would start Jo when he had a fit Ade !! The incident with the substitution in the 93rd minute was a telling one !! Fair play to Ade who came on with a smile and got on with it. Imagine what Tevez or Mario would have done in that situation !!!

He proved his worth in the run of 3 or 4 matches early in the season including the hat trick against Poznan but it seems that was not enough for RM.
So, if he goes, all I can do is wish him all the best and I'm sure he'll shine wherever he ends up.

So this was over a few hours ago, has he gone?

A great talent who's slagged off for no reason here. Lazy? He doesn't get a game! When he does he scores hat tricks and still gets dropped.

Agreed. Not everyone's cup of tea maybe, but some of the abuse he gets is unwarranted.

Was he dropped for this period of time or was he genuinely injured though?

He had a bruised leg at one point, followed by a sore heel, then a sore hamstring, then the Arsenal game came into view and he took a couple of paracetamol... the rest is history... i think he got 02:34 mins playing in.

That emotional and amazing run was purely for his benefit,as,is evident,is everything he does, let's get a bit of perspaective here, the man is an individual,he simply doesn't fit.

I was ecstatic when we signed him as he is unquestionablly one of the best strikers on the planet, however, the baggage he obviously carries negates those attributes as he is never in the team to display them, this has to be purely down to his attitude and approach,he's a bad egg, because why else would he not be playing? Both Whinger and Mancini can't be wrong.....

He never wanted this move and never wanted to play for the shirt,he left Arsenal with little or no alternative, that is clear.

Everything about his time here is a huge disappointment as he could and should have been the pivotal spearhead of an amazing team, you're loss Ade......

I can understand him not being selected for certain games as we have a fairly settled plan for the current 1st 11 but it is my understanding that the reason he's not figured at all is possibly down to genuine injuries. Obviously the other theory is that a deal has been done & he'll be gone as soon as Dzeko arrives.

If Bob has left him out because he really thinks Jo is better, it's difficult not to think Bob's fucked in the head, so I recon it's one of the other options.

Well it is another one of those things we can only surmise and try and read between the lines. So in truth we are all shooting in the dark. I like Ade and think he is an outstanding player.. erm when he wants to be. And that is the rub end of. He has made himself a waste of space and a waste of a place. It is fairly clear Mancini doesn't fuck about too much and for whatever his reasons eventually decided he wasn't worth the hassle. I think he has a point and the key thing that we need are players that are consistent and a even a player that is not got the heights of brilliance but you know what you are going to get at least, starts to look preferable. Dont forget Ade has had over a year to show his commitment and value and has failed. i think it is a shame, but he only has himself to blame imo.

If he goes in the next few weeks, it will all make sense. If he's still here & fit but still can't get a game, it won't.
