It's an energy sapper, believe me.

john@staustell wrote:Petrov was exactly the same as Yaya in this respect. Thank God they dont play high-level squash, or maybe that's the problem? Dennis Tueart used to, and it certainly hones up your recovery time.
I can only hark back distantly to my own squash training and reading about a former world champ called Geoff Hunt (they'll be a lot fitter now). His stamina training leading up to a major tournament was to do 32 400-metre runs at national standard time (Aussie), or 22 800-metre runs, each run with a 30-second recovery in between. This was to mimic the length and lung-needs of a rally at that level. And that only builds up the general stamina, not accounting for the constant back/forward drain of squash, which required other work.
These players should be jogging back at worst whilst recovering, it's embarrasing. Not sure Yaya or Petrov would make the second bend in the first run!

I think it will more easily be the opposite, Dzeko playing up front and Carlos in the hole behind him.

That's the obvious choice but if Bob wants a big bloke playing a bit behind the striker, Dzeko can play there no problem.
