Hi NQDP
As someone struggling in the throes of old age, poverty and senility, no matter how tempting this prospect is, I'll have to decline your kind and generous offer.

However, I'm sure that everyone on this forum will now be watching Villa's "progress" this season, with renewed interest.

Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

West Ham have now matched Villa's bid. Perhaps we could get someone to buy him outright if such a bidding war continues?

Don't think spending 90k p/w on bridgey is the answer, but i'm not going to tell them how to run their club.

They have joke manager and haven't looked good this season but there's ZERO chance of them going down. ZERO. I'm willing to go on record with that one.

Definitely the worst team I've seen at COMS this season

Would anyone be mad enough to take Wayne off our hands?

He has looked like a weak link for some time now.

If we do get rid i think the only option clubs will be looking at is a loan deal and we will screwed in to subsidising his ridiculous wage.

they were shit against us for sure but they've had much better games during the season that I've seen. They are sorting the defence short of rock solid mid-table. There's also the fact that should they still be down there when season comes closer to an end, they DO have some crafters which is exactly what you need in relegation battle.

I simply can't see them going down. No way. Not with some of the dross down there and in essence a balanced squad. As said above, if they sacked Houlier now and replaced him with Fat Sam, i'd still have them giving 7th spot a good go this season.

Just making sure this quote doesn't disappear.

I repeat, ZERO chance of them going down.

That was their strongest team with the psychological boost of a big new signing. Be interesting to see what would happen if he gets injured & they have to come out & try to win games against teams who are counter attacking against them. Unlikely the'd go down but a couple of bad results could easily drop them back in the shit. Not safe yet.

Certainly nowhere near mathematically safe but I simply can't see it happening. They'll grind those 15 points and probably more with ease. It will still have been massive disappointment for them this league season.
