Some good saves from him today, and that Joe'esque one near the end was, wellllll, Joe'esque ;-)

Warning signs for City.

We'll be away at a decent Championship team with either tired 1st teamers, or reserves.

You could say that or you could see it as Leicester have played nearly same amout of games as us over the period with far lesser quality and strength in depth.

I wouldn't be suprised to see a draw in this one with Sven getting a lucrative return trip to CoMS.

PS. I can't believe they are only showing 1 game today. Gutted.

We need to avoid a replay, even if that means start with a decent team, do a fulham in 1st half, then 3 get a rest for 45 mins

Stevenage 2 - 0 Newcastle!

Thanks Joey! Keep it up Stevenage. Newcastle look all over the place. Could be 3 or 4 if this keeps up.

Newcastle just went down 2-0 to League 2 side Stevenage - superb strike for the second.

I hear that Walcott's admitted to diving and although it wasn't given it did seem to influence the refs decision a minute later, there's no way he'd have given that otherwise.

From BBC:

1906: We have 15 minutes remaining.

Newcastle red card: He might have got away with that penalty decision a few minutes ago but he's not got away with that. Newcastle substitute Cheik Tiote lunges in off the ground at Jon Ashton around halfway and referee Andre Marriner brandishes a straight red card. It was reckless... though Toon fans may argue it wasn't at the player and that the midfielder got the ball. Either way, it's massive advantage Stevenage now.

1902: RED CARD NEWCASTLE (Tiote)

1900: Just over 20 minutes left in this match, then, but still no sign whatsoever of Newcastle forcing their way back into proceedings. In fact, I've just seen TV replays of a Cheik Tiote challenge on Lawrie Wilson inside the box a few minutes ago - and the more I see it, the more of a penalty it looks. Would that have been the killer blow for the Toon?

Maybe it was a build up of offences?

Has anyone heard Warnocks rant after Diouf apparently taunted one of his players while he lay sticken on the floor with a double leg break. Diouf is a cunt of the highest order.

Was it something like this ;-)

1857: As Newcastle continue to spit and splutter at Broadhall Way, I can bring you some more rather extraordinary post-match reaction - this time from QPR manager Neil Warnock after his side's exit at Blackburn. An absolutely livid Warnock claimed Rovers' El-Hadji Diouf taunted striker Jamie Mackie as the player lay on the ground with a broken leg: "He is calling him all sorts on the pitch. There was no need to put the finger up and call him a disgrace and even the Blackburn people were embarrassed. I can't abide people like that...I think he is the lowest of the low and I can't see him being at Blackburn much longer because I can't see Steve Kean putting up with someone like that in the dressing room." Wow.

I'd call him a sewer rat, but that would be too kind to him. He's a disgrace and I'm sure Kean will want rid of him very soon

Never come across a more repulsive human being than E H Diouf. The things he was saying were disgusting. The lad had just broke his leg

I didn;t watch the second half of the Stevenage v Newcastle game but have heard that a Stevenage player was chinned, and knocked out, by a fan.

Did anybody see this?

The commentator on the Newcastle game said that Joey Barton shouts out the names of the recipients of the ball just as he takes a free kick, like; "keeper" "linesman" "steward" "hot dog seller" "policeman" "Sid in row Z " etc. Clever.
