If the first operation was a success and the surgeon gave the all clear to play then how come it is the same problem? Unless he didn't recuperate for long enough. I don't think we'll see him before the end of the season if he needs another operation.

Lucky the window is still open.

Medical staff were useless this summer, they didn't even spot that Boateng was going to be hit by a flight trolley!

Surely with the medical equipment that City have you can check EVERY aspect of a players body.
Yes that also means checking if a player has weak tendons or muscles or even abnormal bones in his knees, its science pal.

You dont have to be mystic meg.

Jesus so it was serious!! City have the best medical equipment out there in sports science and will spend hundreds of thousands of pounds in order to get it but even hundreds of thousands of pounds and the best physio's and medical team in the world cannot predict if a player will go over on his knee 20 minutes into his debut.

If you think that our injury record is fine and recovery time is top notch then thats fine with me.

Eh why dont we just fuck off medicals all together put the money into the academy, the players could get injured at any point anyway.

Give me examples of our poor record. Medicals are important to show up any past injuries and whether it is worth a risk signing the player. Mario Balotelli had no previous injuries and was not a risk, his injury he has now could happen when he is 20, 25 or 32, no medical EVER will be able to tell a club that their new signing will go over on his knee 20 mins into his debut.

Again, is this serious? Bojinov passed his medical with no problems, his injury problems with us happend in his first game, you could no tell that was going to happen in the medical.

I cannot beleive i have had to explain that, it's like i've had to explain the offside rule to Adebayor, you both should know this already.

What the point that we signed a perfectly healthy player who's city career was cut short by a bad fall in his first game for us? How is that a fault of the medical?

How do you know the details of the various medicals ? Where are you getting your information from ? I wondered why RSC was allowed to sign seeing as he seemed to have a problem very soon afterwards. Are you saying you know for sure that Bojinov & Balotelli are different & had no concerns?

When Balotelli 1st got injured, he commented that the muscles were weak in that knee. I expressed concern about it at the time. What did he mean & are you sure that he's never had a problem with it ? If so, why did he say the muscles were weak?

I don't see it as a serious problem as far as City's first team goes. I couldn't see Balotelli getting many games tbh now that we have signed Dzeko. If we have more bad luck and either Dzeko or Tevez get a long term injury then i'll be worried, i'm yet to be convinced of Balotellis commitment and attitude anyway.

Anyway, we always have Jo for backup.

I was really expecting to see balotelli playing alongside Dzeko tbh. Was looking forward to it. Very disappointed it may not happen for quite some time.

Comparing this with RSC or Bojinov is a lot like....my cat has four legs, my dog has four legs, therefore my dog is a cat.

Two guys who were horribly injury prone throughout their careers and a guy who is just having a bad run of injuries.
