Some excellent teams left in the competition but the way we can eek out a nil nil virtually anywhere should stand us in good stead. I think Mancini will also be aware that the only gap on his CV is European success, the reason he was sacked from Inter.

I very much have to disagree with that. FA Cup is oldest football competition and certainly seen as more prestigious among proper football supporters around the world.

FA cup is older than the CL too but it doesn't mean it's more prestigious. On a global scale no one gives a fuck about the FA cup.

Europa as 2 years ago I had dreams of going into CL as holders of the UEFA cup and this is the real deal.

That's an easy one.

The FA Cup all day long. It's the greatest knock-out competition in the world and seeing us win it at Wembley might just make my head explode!

Are you kidding me?
The FA Cup for me, without a contest.

Ffs I'm sure about 90% of football fans don't even know what the real name of the Europa League as they just keep talking about UEFA Cup if it is mentioned for some strange reason. Tells its own story really.

I do want a trip to Dublin too though!

Nope, it's Champs' League winners, regardless of the Super Cup result.

FA Cup for me, as I care far more about supporting City than I do about City's 'global dominance'. The FA Cup is what I grew up with, and what I dreamed about us winning as a kid.

Wow. All I can say is WOW. Well we have to agree to disagree then. Europa League aka UEFA Cup aka Inter-Cities Fairs Cup is fucking mickey mouse competition compared to FA Cup. And what fucking "reality" are you talking about? I can assure you that if you asked any random football supporter, they'd tell you FA Cup, if they only looked at the footballing reasons. Like BiB said there, from personal point of view I don't give two shits about "Global dominance". I do understand that's why Sheik bought the Club and therefore it's important for the Club. But for me, I don't care whether we are the most known Club in the World or not. It's all good for me either way.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I have to agree with Abu Dhabi. Here in the rag heartlands, it is true that no-one gives a monkey's about the FA Cup, even football fans who actually know something about football (yes, there are some). The third round of the FA Cup was not even on any Japanese TV channel at all, live or highlights. Maybe later rounds will be but I doubt it. None of it was on last year, not event the final. The Europa on the other hand has got six games from each round on live.

A domestic trophy or a European one? A very tough choice but I'd take the Europa, thanks.

Perhaps it's European thing with few generations of following English football that makes people appreciate FA Cup more. Honestly, I'm surprised to learn that the competition isn't even on in early rounds outside Europe.

I still stand by my opinion though.

Well yeah, of course. The question was though that if you'd have to choose. Which is obviously bit ridiculous as we could go and win both!

I have to echo these sentiments - Having lived and worked in many places around the world I would have to say the Europa Cup is far far more prestigious than the F.A cup although both get ESPN coverage...the Europa still wins hands down on the face of football fans....people would rather see a major team from Italy or Spain play a Major team from England - it kind of beats Aston Villa v Arsenal.

I think it is important we win in Europe before any local competition...good for the profile..F.A. cups can come up again but hopefully the Europa wont !!

Anyway - lets hope we are in both finals.

Carlos Tevez wipes his hands on his shirt, you breathe in, he reaches forward to take the trophy, you breathe in deeper. He turns towards the massed hoards of City fans. the TV cameras go close up. The lungs are full to the brim. He lifts it into full view and as one voice every City fan, whether in the ground, at home, in the pub .... screams "YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!

With respect to your original question mate...I really don't give a fucl. Football and City at that moment are pure emotion and I simply am unable to choose. Sorry
