Boateng ??????? I really hope this lad actually does what he gets paid to do today........fuck knows why Mancini is fucking around with that position..Zabba must have a knock as I cannot believe hes taking a punt on changing them around.

We usually line up 4231 with DeJong & Barry holding & Yaya further forward. So that would be, DeJong & Barry then Tevez Yaya Silva in a 3 with Dzeko in front. Tevez Silva with license to roam & Tevez sometimes swapping with Dzeko.

Hope the decision to play Boateng & Kolarov together doesn't ruin the advantage we could gain from Spurs dropping 2 points. If I was Houllier I'd just tell Dunne & Collins to stand next to them at corners.

Mancini thinks there are too many games to play and players need a rest when he can cover.Zaba is fit and ready and rested.

The surprise to me is Kolo playing after he came off last week looking uncomfortable. No sign of an actual injury though and he was back at training on the first day possible. I worry about a Kolo who isn't 100%.

It's a really tough game this anyway and we will need to be really at it to win.

Probably our best 11, ignoring the mentalist decision to play Boateng at right back against tricky wingers. If I am Houllier, the plan would be simple: attack Boateng and get crosses in to the box as City have shown supreme shiteness defending in the last few games. But, if we are challengers, which we all know we are, we go at them and take them. Tanked them 4-0 a few weeks ago at an absolute canter. No easy games, we know that. A scrappy 1-0 would do me, but that is not our way, never has been and never will be.

Here we go...
After the ball was centred, after the whistle blew...

Much better side than the surrender-monkeys over Christmas. Not going to be a stroll this one.
