I never saw Nelly play but, even as a kid, have always been interested in our history. If you look at the important games where Neil scored you will understand why I have always believed that his name should always be included when talking about the Holy Trinity of Bell, Lee and Summerbee.

What Nelly did for our club should never be underestimated or forgotten.

My thoughts are with his freinds and family.

Spot on Lee, I echo these sentiments completely.

A man, a True Blue and a club legend. Rest in peace - you'll have Joe and Mal waiting for you up there in the sky.

Though it seemed inevitable, that was an announcement that I really never wanted to hear.

As you get older, the store of life's memories gets larger, some good and some not so good. As you get older, you find yourself delving into that store, sometimes smiling, sometimes crying.
For a whole generation of City fans Nelly gifted us a massive store of memories to make us smile. So many very special memories indeed.

THANK YOU NEIl...GOD BLESS.

This guy was well before my time but from what I've heard and seen he had a truly wonderful left foot and played a big part in this club winning a few pots.

RIP Neil.

Lets hope he passed away firmly in the knowledge that the club he supported, played for and loved was on the rise again and will acheive great things so that he can look down on us all celebrating with a huge smile on his face.

RIP Nelly.

Sad news, just glad he witnessed how affectionally he was remembered by the fans and how grateful we are for his role with the club.
