wasn't there something in the papers during the summer about spurs changing all 3 shirts for something like 6 years in a row?

I realise this may seem alien and strange and beyond consideration. But if you(and I don't mean you personally Mark) have a problem with them releasing a shirt every season, then don't buy it every season. No-one is forcing you to and there is an opportunity for people to think for themselves here, I know you may get vertigo from the unfamiliarity of it all, but that will pass with time.

...but seriously, I just got an email from the club saying all shirts are now reduced by a tenner. This would suggest that we're going to be getting our third home/away combo in three years come July/August.

I know Carlos needs to be paid but that's scandalous if it happens. I tweeted the club asking for clarification but we'll see if the respond. Anyone heard anything?

I reckon the days where everyone rushes out and buys every kit are long gone. You have to pick and choose now unless you're young, fully employed and only spend money on football and beer.

Sad but I guess it's the way of the modern world and the clubs DO actually make more out of it the more they bring out. Another 'thanks Platini' opportunity!

Yeah its a simple choice for you & i (last top I got was the 2009 home & probably more likly to buy a retro top in future), but when you have kids it gets hard because not only do they want the top (with a name & number & prem badges) they want the shorts & socks thats the best part of a £100 x 2 kids x 2 changes last year = fuck me im skint again.

Then they re-released them with different sponsors (Investec) for the cup games, so they have had 5 new shirts this season

I consider my financial contribution each year to be enough already, so rather than spend another £90 on 2 new shirts every year, I just buy fakes if I like the shirt and go to a couple of extra away games with the money I saved.

I know some would agree and some would disagree with that point, but horses for courses - I am not an unlimited pot of money

They're a tenner off I think mate, so down from £40 to £30.

I didn't say they were a tenner, I said they are reduced by a tenner.

I was only giving out about the new jerseys there the other day saying that I wasn’t going to buy any of them. So what did I get for my birthday on Saturday off the in-laws only the 3rd jersey which I must say looks savage. Pity that it will be changed in 3 months!
