What the fuck is up with everyone tonight FFS? I know of two scum fans who have had their heads caved in in Gorton for being gobshites, and a City fan has been hammered in Abbey Hey for the same offence. It goes with the territory on every derby day. Precisely why i took my daughter to see Gnomeo & Juliet instead of watching the match live, it's a free for all for knobheads in Manchester. Friends turn on each other without fail. Footballs a fuckin game, no more.

For many years, the Crown and kettle pub that stands on the corner of Oldham Road and Great Ancoats Street at New Cross remained closed. It is a listed building which was damaged many years ago when the rags' fans drinking inside were attacked by City fans who went in to attack them. A riot ensued and the building was damaged.

THE IMPORTANT BIT...During that fight, a rags' fan from Droylsden was very badly beaten and ended up on a life support machine. He had a young wife and young child and was unable to care for them...I can't remember how his recovery went, nor how long it might have been before he was able to resume an active role as a husband and a father...if in fact he did recover.

Not our finest moment as City fans.

I am glad this incident isn't football related. I wish it hadn't happened at all.

I agree I always stay home and watch with fellow blues when it's an OT derby. I was angry yesterday so would rather be angry at home where no one can wind me up than in a pub full of plastic rags.

The family of a 13-year-old boy stabbed in the street over a row about his dog have released a photograph of him in a hospital bed to help trace his attacker.

Michael Stevenson was knifed in the back near his home in Sale, Greater Manchester, as his pet rottweiler Roxy was stabbed to death in the incident on Saturday afternoon.

He was kicking a football on parkland with a man who, it is understood, then had an argument with another man whose own dog clashed with Roxy.

The other dog owner is then thought to have left, before returning and stabbing Michael once in the back and fatally wounding his dog. The schoolboy continues to recover from his ordeal in hospital, where his condition is described as stable.

In a statement, his parents said: "There is nothing worse than being told your 13-year-old child has been stabbed, and then to see him in hospital attached to all the tubes was heartbreaking.

"We just ask anyone with information to contact the police immediately as anyone who could do this to a child needs catching."

Superintendent Shirley Cullis-Wilding said: "We have had a fantastic response from the community with information that has supported this investigation.

"As a result, they have helped our inquiries which are continuing.

"This was an isolated incident and the community has no reason to worry about their safety."

Anyone with information about the incident in Cherry Lane, which happened shortly before 4.45pm, should call police on 0161 856 9169 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Heard about this. Racecourse is proper dodge like. Makes you wonder what sort of incident occured to have summat like that happen over it.

To stab anyone is bad enough, but a fourteen year old? In the back? And knife his dog to death? Someone in the Not Normal Club needs locking up methinks.
