Chelsea will also only be 2 points behind us with a game in hand after their next game which I am quite confiden they will win.
Fucks me off to no end that this always happens, I am not even so mad about losing to United, it is all the other games that we fucked up and should have won.

I can see us lose to Spuds at home and finish 5th again.

no way, not with Hughes steering the helm
perhaps we should get him back eh lads?

NQDP you moron! Why did you have to make such a depressing thread?
I was rather happy and excited we play tomorrow and optimistic we'll go on a nice run now but this thread depressed me.

We need the CL place soooo badly. Please City don't fuck it up.

Depressed? Fucking hell! Depressed? We are where we are and you are depressed? You sound like the scousers who were ready to give up on football because they werent winning every week. Our support has changed, depressed is paying £500 to see 10 goals scored all season at home 4 years ago, depressed is going to York or whatever obscure place on a cold wet tuesday night whilst your mates are watching the rags beat whatever top team in europe in the champions league, depressed is seeing us relegated from the premier league not once but twice whilst growing up in an era dominated by the team 90% of your school supports.

Depressed? Don't make me fucking laugh, i am loving this season and i will be loving it even more at the end of the season when not once was a part of the season enough to leave me depressed.

man up and get in the real world ffs

Lets be honest, we're not looking great, yet not out of it. This is nail biting stuff and I'm not depressed.

That said for the money invested and the promise of glory he'd bring, Bobby has yet to find a nice consistent pattern of either economical wins over and over, or lovely football with the talent he's bought. I'm yet to see us go on a run or acheive something the last manager wouldn't have got us to with repeat investment.
Tracking back is overrated.

I was a lot more confident about it when we were still 5-9 points ahead of the rest...

Well mate that's your opinion and you're certainly entitled to it, but I don't agree. I'm completely confident we will get at least fourth place. True, Chelsea might be two points off us with a game in hand after their next game, but that game in hand is against the rags; thus it won't be a guaranteed 3 points for Chelsea at all. As for Spuds...well if we can't beat them at home then we don't deserve fourth place and CL football. Besides, it's not like there aren't other games where the others can fuck up, it's not always going to be us who do that.

I do think Chelsea are the team struggling the most and everything for them will be down to how well Torres settles into the team.Tonight's game isnt easy and with the 2 against the scum plus other tough games they might actually be my main hope for us to get top 4.Spurs are a concern after they have won their last 3 games (2 away) with apparently only half a team.

This. Spurs are my main concern due to their form and they can even lose Bale and still win the important games because hey Kranjcar is playing well too...

Chelsea is a team I am worried about because of the recent years... and because of the string of wins they put together at the beginning of the season.

Im with you NDQP i have been depressed as fuck all weeeknd. I actually think spurs winning(i thought they were a cert to drop points) was a bigger kick in the balls than us losing. Its going to be very tricky but for once i dont want our manager sacked, i have 100% faith in mancini at the moment.
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, losing the fucking Derby. Oh joy.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Grow a pair ffs, depression shouldn't be used when there are seriously ill folks suffering from depression, try unhappy, dejected, glum, downhearted, downcast etc

As has been pointed out in another thread the poor bloke who lost his missus and kid in a car accident has the right to be depressed.

Honestly, we are bit screwed right now. Studied the run ins of our competitors and we have by far hardest schedual. Well, it's time to deliver I suppose and now we'll really see whether Mancini is the man and whether these players are just on a joyride or genuinely willing to fight for the cause.

Fucking gutted.

p.s. no need to say "there are plenty of topics like this on the board". I don't give a shit.

Whatever get over it FFS. Try living here. My fucking phone has not stopped vibrating, I am well over it and have learned this is the deal over many years.

I feel your pain brother.

Though a win against the scum would've lifted the spirits, perhaps the damage was done.

Like most people, I thought we played good attack minded football on Saturday. The result was shit, granted, but I became a bit more optomistic in tactics etc.

I just wonder why, for example, we didn't bother attacking in the home derby. It's these things that make no sense to me.
