One tiny point of interest tonight. We have a 19 year old graduate from the Barca youth academy on our books. We can presume he has been taught how to pass the ball and how to keep the ball. I would love to see Gai Assulin come off the bench before the end of the season.

Yeah he will pass it to Tevez expect a return pass as he glids into space only to see Tevez run off with the ball for 20mins.

How good has Koscielny been at the back for Arsenal?

Proper game of football directed by proper managers.

Mancini I hope was watching as he has us playing the complete opposite....I did not post on the Aris match as I was disgusted by the shit we dished out that day. This game was a pleasure to watch.

Someone mentioned it before - we fuck around in midfield then stop to pass it around - shit tactics and shit to watch - that has been the story the whole season for me.
Spurs were fantastic to watch and on the whole have been so most of the season - another thrilling game to watch.

The more I see from teams like them the more I dislike our style of play.

Great game, and light years ahead of some of the stuff we are playing tbh - shows how far we have to go to be really mixing it with the big boys, and not simply trying to scrape 4th spot.

Agreed. Can't help thinking that Mancini sets us up with the sole intention of job preservation (I.e.champions league qualification) as opposed to achieving our full potential. In the end, he may end up being the victim of his own caution!

I thought barca were not up to scratch there. Iniesta had a bit of a howler and Messi also not up to the usual standard.. some poor touches by the two of them and Iniesta didn't get into the game at all. They still gave Arsenal the runaround for long spells but ive seen much better than that.

As for everyone moaning about City.. considering the time we have had to develop our game in comparison to barca we are not that bad and can play good touch football for a prem side. When we finally get our forward line sorted out and settled in we will be one of the closest out of the prem sides to barca. It will take time though so dont come crashing down on me for saying that.

It was great football by both teams, but there should be a bit less envy on here. There is no 'true' way to play football, the point of the game is to put the ball in the net anyway you can. Also consider that our way of playing earned us a draw, unlike barca.

Id pay to watch either team tonight - they play as "proper" as you can get to play imo.

Mancini has the right personnel to play like that - I think its more down to his tactics that stops us from doing so.

Remember when Mancini was first here.. deJong couldn't find a forward pass so didn't. We barely tried to get out of our own half. Now we can pass it around fine.. until it gets to the attack. When we get the attack sorted and familiarised it will all pick up and slot into place. The speed and fluidity will pick up from all over the park as a result. It is fucking frustrating watching them while it happens though.

You know the word that's supposed to come now...
