i am absolutely steaming so i voted balotelli cos i think he's great but it was there for all to see that tevez and dzeko could make a partnership work, and that means we don't have to rely on one player so i'm all for that. balotelli i feel sorry for because he is very intelligent but doubt he can build any kind of relationship with tevez.

Are you fucking drunk or something??

It most definitely has not. It was something that cropped up in another thread and got me thinking - which is more likely to become a world great, because they are very different players who have the world at their feet.

What's eating you fuckface?

The imporant thing to ask is will they have been worth the money spent on them and my prediction is yes.

Just fucking vote and give your reasons.

That's the important thing.

Isn't that excatly what i have done mr angry?

I'm not at all angry - that's just my posting style you cunt.

And no, its not at all what you did. What you did was try to give us one of your "lessons", throw in a couple of silly cliches... and finish off by telling the rest of the class that you think they will turn out to be worth the money we spent on them.

None of which was mentioned in this POLL.

Smiley face :)

I was contributing to the thread saying that IMO the important thing is not if they double their value based on some other persons opinion or how much they are worth but if they have turned out to be worth the money spent on them because if they do turn out to be worth the money spent on them then it doesn't matter how much their value has raised because they won't be for sale.

Is Mesut Ozil worth £12m when Wayne Bridge cost £10m? Is Ronaldo worth £90m, no he isn't but he has justified the amount of money spent on him both on and off the pitch. Value's mean fuck all, it's all about if they have justified the amount of money spent on them however small or large. That is all i was trying to say.

That's fine.

But it had nothing to do with the POLL question.

I voted for both, as I'd pick all three out of Balo, Tevez and Edin, plus Silva to feed them. Too offensive? Maybe, but I feel we would score for fun.

If I really had to pick just one then Dzeko.

I know it didn't, i was contributing to the thread regardless. That is how interesting threads develop, if they didn't they would soon end and scurry off the page before you could say Abdisalam Ibrahim. They start of with a good point, others then come in and offer an alternative opinion and hey presto it goes from there.

As much as I wanted to vote "Both", I went with just Dzeko. Balotelli is just a wild card. Admittedly he has upside with no ceiling but anyone would be crazy to bet for or against him. In five years time he could be Ballon D'or winner or selling his arse for another smack fix. I could see either happening. Or both.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Neither obviously, and you'd have to be daft to think otherwise.

right. i'd say a better question would be "which will be worth what we paid?"

that's a valid question. And "neither" woudn't be an insane answer imho based on FFP.

cheers

If I had to choose one it would be Dzeko.

I think he will only get better and better the more he plays. Class act is Dzeko, on and off the field.

According to Wikipedia:

FFP may refer to:

* FFP programming language
* Family First Party, an Australian political party
* Feminists Fighting Pornography, a U.S. organization
* Freedom Front Plus, a South African political party
* Fresh frozen plasma, a blood product
* Frequent flyer program, a marketing instrument of airlines and airline alliances

Someone help me out here.

How much did we pay for Balotelli, by the way?

Both are quality strikers but only one has the right character to play for City: Edin Dzeko!
From Torino, Italia to Manchester, Lancashire this City is always our City!
