Now that I think of it (after some googling) I believe you are correct. I thought we were talking about that team that is shortened to PAO and they play in green but these look like boys from Newcastle!

Yup, you were probably thinking of Panathinaikos, green/white colours.
PAO (without K) is their shortened name.
