Suarez

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

After watching him a lot in the Dutch l didn't think he would be a success in the Prem. And I stick by that. He's now doing well in a Liverpool team on a bit of a purple patch, but I don't see him being a player that will be able to lead the line and carrying the team when things are not going as well, like Tevez has done for us, or like Torres did back in his (good) Liverpool days.

Fucking hate Suarez... cheating, cunting poor man's Ronaldo. And he has done plenty of that in the Liverpool games I have seen so far already.

There has been nothing to suggest Dzeko in any way will be better than Suarez from what we have seen of the two in the Premier League so far.

Stupid and pointless.
Dzeko scored two against the mighty Notts County and two against Aris. Kevin Nolan has scored more than Silva, who's the better player?
I've yet to see Dzeko absolutely dominate a top team like Suarez did today.

Woah,

Why are people comparing him with Dzeko?

He's been great for Liverpool. Dzeko has made a great start for us. There's no need to really compare. We cannot go about buying every player on the planet, likewise we cannot get pissed when one of them doesn't sign for us. A bit of humility, please.

Dominate a top team? Wes Brown? Dirk Kuyt?
Twist it all you like, there has been nothing to suggest either player in any way will be better than the other from what we have seen of the two in the Premier League so far. I'm not even talking about the fact they are two completely different types of players, just that they have barely played a dozen games between them.

Give over. It wasn't just beating two defenders. He had his back to goal edge of the area with two defenders on him and the way he made space and went round another defender in such a compact area was incredible. If Silva did it, you'd be on about it for weeks.

He did well. I am not saying he didn't. But it is the first time I have seen him, so I ain't going overboard just yet.

I believe he did nothing in that game that Matt Jarvis didn't do for Wolves against Tottenham.

Come on Dub ffs !! Have you followed this guy at all?..hes fucking tops I tell you...anyway I still rate Dzeko and still think he will be tops for us......but...I wanted Suarez a long time ago.

i think i end up watching more South American footy than most on here because of the time zone like you prollee do CARL. I wish we had signed him as well. He's been a solid player for his country and looked great this summer in the WC. i really don't understand why people felt the handball was out of bounds. The cheating got punished and it worked out. So he pulls some hair and bites. He wants to fuclin win. People act like that's a goddamm crime to fight tooth and nail and cheat to win.

I'll tell you what if this bucktooth'd little cheating fuck played for City and we won our first pot because he cleared a ball off the line with his hand and then the opposition missed the ensuing penalty it wouldn't tarnish it one bit.

tin hat on.

seriously overrated.

Seen a lot of him in the Eredivisie when he played for Groningen and Ajax. Great feet, but such a terrible attitude. Come on, he BIT a player and got suspended for 7 weeks! He's shown diving in the EPL already, he was pulling Rafael's hair, he's waving cards. He's a cunt. If his handball against Ghana didn't already prove this, I don't know what does.

City is better with out him. We don't need twats like that when we have players like Tevez and Silva.

Also, comparing Dzeko and Suarez is comparing apples and oranges.

Well it would tarnish it a bit if only because SSN would run the bloody thing for the next decade or so. Outside of that then I'd probably agree with you.

If we have to do comparisons then Suarez is Tevez. If Tevez went then Suarez would be a good replacement. Dzeko is Carroll. Suarez and Dzeko are different players with different styles and attributes and all that.

Currently,Dzeko appears a strange buy given his strengths and our system, and i would sooner have had us spent the money elsewhere, however,i expect that to be addressed in the summer and we will see his quality next season.

He was Ade's direct replacement (in my opinion), so Bobby clearly has a role for a player like thw two of them.

Concerning Suarez, I was only really aware of him during and after the world cup - he had a cracking tournament in South Africa though, and was linked with most of the big teams in the Prem on the back of it. (He also appears to be someone who would fit into our attacking lineup with little 'downtime' since he likes to play in Bobby's style anyway)

No need. Cunt.

I understand what you are saying but I half disagree. How you play is more important than whether you win or not. Call me old-fashioned, call me stupid, call me a bag if shite tied up with clothes wire if you like, but I care about stuff like not pulling hair, not biting, not diving, playing the game with a smile, shaking hands with the opposition after the game and so on and so forth.

That said, I do expect a defender on the line to handle the ball rather than let it go in. Sometimes it is worth taking the red card. Can't think of a situation where pulling a player's hair would be a better option than not doing so.

You can't beat a nice bit of selective morality. Eh.

Look, cunthole. <insert smiley face emoticon here>

i grew up in a really working class blue collar kinda way so i also prefer a low-brow, low-key type of personality who plays the game the "old fashioned" way, but the reality is it's just not that way for many of the Xbox generation who grew up talking smack, and being a fuckface prima donna in their living room as well as on the football pitch. And having the whole village/hamlet/shire they grew up in licking their asshole all day long since they were 9 years old about how "talented" they are, etc.

Also, I will kick your ass in Missile Command or Jungle Pit if you try and step up tho. Just sayin.

cheers

p.s. do you keep bringing up the hair pulling because you know i'm a bald asshole? unfair.
