I like Yaya myself, quality player but does tend to lag late in games.I would much prefer him beside Dejong in midfield than Barry if we are playing 2 defensive midfielders.

Yaya had a good game last night. There were 3 or 4 occasions in the first half when he got Richards, Silva and Tevez away behind their deep back line with cheeky little chipped passes. No one else got us in behind all game. Not Silva, not Barry, not Tevez.

He does look like he lacks the energy to sustain 90 minutes in his position. HOWEVER, we should bear into account that he's gone from playing an occassional Xabi Alonso role for the world's best side (who rarely come under any sustained pressure) to a more up-and-down game in the world's most frenetic league. He's actually been more consistent than any other summer signing other than Silva.

Had we found a second goal from somewhere last night, this thread would never have surfaced.

For the record I was watching on TV like I like to do.For me you being at the match explains why you cant see half of what Yaya does.
No wonder you have to slag players of who have had decent games.
On the ratings thread there is someone who reckons the whole team deserves 10 and there are a few others aswell who think the teams effort last night after Mario was great.And you say Yaya was lazy.Rubbish.

Toure is an excellent player. When played to his strengths, he is a serious force. As Lookmum said, the chemistry in our midfield is not right and that's not his fault, but everyone should take a look at this lad's stats - not at the very top, but excellent for a player in his first season in the prem.
