I actually didn't have a great problem with him being let go if indeed he was undermining the manager and affecting or likely to affect the team spirit as long as we had suitable cover for the position and/or plans to change the style of play to suit what we had.In reality we haven't had cover for his role as surely Mario can't be considered as that person?

And there is the key point. If Bob has a problem with Bellamy, SIGN A REPLACEMENT & get rid, not get rid & stick Jo on the wing.

I'm baffled as to why Bob thought he, or Balotelli or Dzeko would be. They're nothing like him. If he thought we didn't need to replace him, that baffles me too; it was like cutting off an arm. I recon we'd be one hell of a side now, if we had Bellamy, or a player like him. It drives me mental thinking about it & what we've missed out on.

If Bob is around next season, the 1st thing he needs to do is sign a player similar to Bellamy.

I wonder if Bellers legs & sharpness will have completely gone by then or whether a new City manager, or someone like Kenny Dalglish, will get a season out of him? Suarez, Carroll, Bellamy. Not bad.

If I'm not mistaken Ted, when Silva was bought, most of us thought he is a left winger and would have filled the spot vacated by Bellers ? Until we bought him, all I had seen of Silva was when he played for Spain and there he was playing wide left. As it turned out, Silva is a completely different type of player.
Maybe Bob thought that Silva was the replacement for Bellers and not poor Jo !
