I'd never have guessed that lineup - Bobby really wants a cup final appearance

Pleased Balotelli isn't in the team - this isn't the game for him to be starting.

Less happy about De Jong not being included in particular, Silva replaced by Milner - fair enough, bit more grit and Silva can come on and make a difference.

Clearly has Saturday in mind - I wonder if someone can check if De Jong was on a possible ban if he'd got a card tonight because I'm fairly sure that this round of matches ending tonight was the last one before the suspension amnesty they have for yellow cards from now till the end of the season.???

Would imagine 4-2-3-1.

Barry and Yaya holding, then from right to left in the 3 - Johnson, Tevez, Milner, with Dzeko up top as the 1.

Believe Nige is on 9 yellows and would miss saturday if he picked another up tonight.

No idea on Silva though

He's on 8 yellows before tonight - how many is it for a suspension?

That's right, so Nige isn't missing because of yellows

It'll be our usual 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 most likely.

Interesting team selection. In theory by playing Dzeko up top with Milner and Johnson out wide, gives us another dimension to our attacking play and is going to give the forward a chance to make an impact as so far he has been largely starved of service from crosses coming in from wide areas.

Almost certainly, although we could lodge a frivolous appeal with the hope of delaying the hearing. Didn't Wio do this last season?

I seem to remember Nige is on 8 yellows in the league at the moment.

That team doesn't fill me with hope I have to say.

Three huge changes from a team that just won five nil? Sorry, I know we have semi final to think about, but this game is also huge and I can't see how taking De Jong and Silva out makes sense.

I hope and pray I'm wrong...

We have just eight or nine big games left. Nige and Silva should be playing.
Hope it's not an injury type thingy. That would be a disaster now.

Well, at least they're on the bench... however, we're always better if we start well, rather than when we've to change things to claw back a goal or two. I would have rathered they started and then came off early second half.
