Tried to get tickets for the final just for the experience. Couldn't buy them at the stadium and could only order 2 on-line (there was 3 of us) even though I believe there were 17000 unsold (including 3000 returned by Porto on the day). Tried the touts just before kick off but once again could only get 2 together. Called it a day and watched it in the Wellington.

shame you missed the City game ,I had to watch it online myself,it was advertised to be shown on Setanta HD but rugby highlights were shown instead .dont know why ,game wasnt on sky either but usually theres pubs with dodgy satellites that pick up arab channels showing the game ,just not in the bigger city center pubs .Cya back for the Dublin tournament in July

Ciaran,
Howya, Paul McGrath here. Yeah, great day all round. Can't remember much after ten o'clock but I'm pleased I was still sober by then and remember the day well. Bring on the next final.

I believe the place to be is Sinnott's on King St, so I'll see you all there!

Fella's is this the best place to watch the Stoke game on Tuesday? I'll be in Dublin Tues-Thurs as I thought we had a decent chance of making the Europa final. Typical City getting to the wrong final. ;)

yep turned out to be a great spot to watch the game, lots of big screens .would recommend you head up there on Tuesday ,not sure there'll be too many Dublin blues there on Tuesday,im sure we'll get together for the tournament in the Aviva in a few months .Game is live on Setanta so think i'll just be in watching it at home ,gonna be messy in town with the Queens visit, buses trains all being affected .

Is that you Steve? Just seen this now. Great day on the beer for the final. Let's all keep in touch for the big games next season. I'll let you know when Ro and me are heading over as through my drunken haze I think I remember you saying you'd love to head over for a game next season. This is Paul McGrath by the way, in case you can't remember after all the beer we all had.
