Hiddink said he was an adviser for chelsea since he left. Now the press is using the Villas Boas name as favorite.

Hiddink is the new manager, put your money on. Old team with Drogba, Anelka, Terry, Fat Frank, Malouda, Cashley and Essien all north side of or touching 30 - big rebuilding job on.

Aabramovic has a history of hiring his replacements (in a different role) before the current manger gets sacked, so I wouldnt be surprised to see Hiddink 'promoted'

wonder how much of this stemmed from infighting over torres. even before the ink had dried, that deal seemed like it was destined to tear their club apart.

Defo Hiddink, think this was one of the worst kept secrets in football.

Still quite unbelievable that they would sack Ancelotti, there has to be a job in England for him somewhere.

Many compare us to Chelsea. I hope we never become like them. The most important ingredient in any long term successful side is stability in its management. Players can come and go, but managers need time and space to build a dynasty. There's a management philosophy that applies: forming, storming, norming, performing. We're getting into the norming phase - players have started to gel and settle down. Granted, Carlos could be off in the summer, but we'll regroup and a produce some great results next season. Once we've got the wind behind our sails, we'll be bringing home title after title after title. Lose the manager and we're back to the forming and storming stages.

I sincerely hope that we stick with Mancini for many years to come, that we give him the financial support that he needs and that we continue to etch his name and successes into our clubs history.

Abramovic has made only one mistake in sacking a manager imo & that is with Mourinho. His mistake with the others has been appointing them in the 1st place as they do fuck all other than send out what's left of Mourinho's team & occasionally tinker with it thus fucking it up. The best performances are when Mourinho's team is allowed to play in the formation it used to play in, with the players who used to play in it.

Hiddink is the only manager who's had the side looking of a similar standard to when Mourinho was there.

He'll get his contract paid up and have no problem finding another job, so no sympathy from here for Ancelotti. But what a daft decision, unless they know they have someone "better" lined up.

Hiddink has denied this several times in the past already, including recently. It's media tribe. The only relation Hiddink has with Abramovich is that Hiddink was the manager of Russia and they get on well. The only reason Hiddink took over Chelsea was to help Abramovich. Hiddink has stated many times in the past, he's focused on Turkey at the moment.

Taken from the BBC:
Dutchman Hiddink, who has a close relationship with Abramovich, revealed he still has an advisory role at Stamford Bridge.

"Since I left two years ago I've been advising the club on things concerning the squad," he wrote in De Telegraaf on Saturday.

"Sometimes I become a sounding board. It costs me very little time and I can combine it well with my position with Turkey. There is no conflict at all."

I wonder if he advised them on sacking Ancelotti?

The biggest mistake Chelsea made this season was sacking Wilkins. It took them a long time to get over him leaving and that period handed United the title. I wonder who it was who sacked him?

It means nothing when Hiddink himself has also said he's focusing on national football and not club football. He himself and his agent have both said this, even when he was at charge at Chelsea. Advising them is a whole new level though. Besides, if he really wanted to manage Chelsea, he wouldn't have left in the first place after winning the FA Cup.

I don't think Hiddink advised on Carlo's sacking though. It seems like a thing Roman would do. I feel sorry for Carlo, he seemed like a nice man.

If losing the football genius of Ray Wilkins causes such upheaval it begs the question; what does Ancelotti do? Imo the answer is; fuck all.
