Why doesn't he move in with Mario?!?

Anyway, where was all the 'Fantastic, Explosive Interview' and who arranged for Neil Ashton to fly out to Argentina to get this interview?

Nothing we didn't already know really.

So he says it's up to him and his decision will be based on his family?? Yet he talks about playing in Europe for three more years? AGAIN how is Italy or Spain that much closer to Argentina?
For me, he can say it's about his family as much as he wants. And if he leaves City this summer and goes back there then fair enough. I can take that. But if he does leave City and go to either Italy or Spain and his family stay in Argentina we'll all know how much of a lying slag he is.

3 years = time left on his City contract, with an enhanced contract deal.

So why didn't he say 'at City for 3 more years'? Why just Europe?

It's really not quite that simple is it

He is estranged from his daughters' mother....so they will have to move to Manchester but they all won't be living with Carlos. So they move into another "empty house" in Prestbury. And then they are lonely and they want to move back to Argentina as the mother is too far away from her family and is close to her mum.

So you try to persuade the maternal grandparents to move over here.....where they are then thousands of miles away from their other grandchildren and their own friends....so they're not happy....

See where that is going?

Exactly! What kind of a comment is " why doesn't his family move?"

Did you read the article?? He says the reason he is here is becasue of the fans!! So what exactly do you mean? It is completly not about money for the guy, he says over and again that no amount of money will buy him time with his family!

Then why is he still here? He can walk at any time.

For that matter, why is he at City if it's not about the money?

If he stays for three years I hope he keeps his whining in-house and not via the fecking media because IF we take him at face value what purpose does it serve to constantly release all this crap through the papers?

Some people still believe he came here because of 'the project' and not the money.

Lots of people seeing this as very positive with regards him staying, even Ashton saying that it seems likely and yet the MEN choose to lead with The Sheikh says I can leave. I'm still hoping Kia was right and that we will get a statement one way or another within the next two weeks

Yupp! The only reason Tevez came to us was because we were willing to pay him the most. He could have gone to Chelsea at the time but chose to come to us. I think it was Ant that said Tevez treats it like a job. Which is fair enough at the end of the day. But when he comes out with this family shit it really does get old.

Apart from being pretty bored by all this now, at least this 'exclusive' confirms the basics of what we thought we knew and for those who are not looking through barbed wire glasses at Tevez, can at least accept perhaps for once and for all that this has always been about something personal to Tevez. Ok so you can argue about stupidity of footballers but the bottom line is they are people and over and above a certain level money ceases to be an overriding issue. We don't get any more info on what Cook had promised to Carlos.. reading between the lines and taking the main issue as his family then it may well have been promises to do with helping him in that respect, ie. time off, dispensation to skip certain obligations. It would seem clear that it was never about money. My take back in Dec was that it was to do with progress of the team and player aquisitions. It seems fairly clear to me Tevez's priorities are his daughters and family then goals and with it success onfield.. well down the list are professional relationships.

For those who have never lived outside the UK particularly in latin countries it is difficult to get a proper sense of how life in the UK is weird and alien. People, how they go about, are with each other and what they hold as priorities is almost the opposite of the latin temprament. People in Spain think that the Barcelonians are cold and severe and despise their culture, but compared to the UK they are so relaxed, social, laid back and family orientated it is unbelievable. It is no exaggeration to say that the Spanish privately think that the British are really psychologically disturbed as a society, so alien and freaky are their ways to the Spanish mentality. If anything Argentina is even more conservatively latin, Spain having Europeanised itself over recent times.

I'm writing this to try and give a perspective of where Tevez may be coming from. His lack of english language and so his lack of embracing the english lifestyle go together... if his heart is not convinced he won't get even close to intergrating himself. Personally i think he is not trying hard enough, but it is up to him and if he doesn't want to then so be it, that is a bit shortsighted imo but each to their own. He is doing his professional duty and doing it to his utmost, so even if you don't care for his inability to make the best of his life and all the consequences of that, at least appreciate his professionalism on the pitch and enjoy what he brings to the success of the team and the club.

All that said, i still think and believe that as a club and a team City would be daft to rely on Tevez and i want to see that we are as good without him as with him playing, that is coming along i rekon though.

TheGOAT, I'm sorry mate but I think you're being extremely naive. Tevez could not give a shit about anyone but Tevez.

I want him to stay but won't be shedding any tears if he goes.

he had to say he was here for the fans, if the fans were that important to him he would keep his mouth shut, not bad mouth senior people at THE FANS club,or if he is here for the fans why is he waiting for a better offer? why not say i am staying for the fans, and if it was only about his family why is this multi millionaire even talking about coming back to a city he hates

If he misses his family that much he should go back and stay at home or not nail a 19 year old and leave your wife and kids. There is only one reason he is staying in.Europe for 3 more years and it ain't the fans.
