Near sure he also concedes the most fouls

I'm not sure about him being most fouled (it's not like he has pace and people would NEED to foul him) but he has been in and around top 5 on conceded fouls table for the past ten seasons or so. Some years even topping it.

Davies is better version of Paul Dickov. Usefull player for team like Bolton I'm sure but fucking horrible to watch.

He is the most fouled for the same reason he commits most fouls. As someone has pointed out above, his first thought with the ball approaching where it may be 50/50 is to grab the player, and therefore a free kick one way or the other is almost inevitable.

Nuisance on the pitch but always causes problems. Thought our defenders dealt with him well on the whole.
He reminds me of Franny Lee in his appearance. Blonde, 'chunky' and strutting about, it's just when he starts playing football the comparison ends.

I can't think of a player I dislike more or one who is dirtier in the current Premier League. I despise Davies and his anti-football. That goes for Bolton too and their laughable 'football purest' manager who thought they might have got something from a game that, evidently, could have been 9-1 without any difficulty. The twat.

Bolton remind me of the appalling Hughesian Blackburn and a little bit of Pulis's Stoke, a football team that are as unwatchanble as a top flight football team could be. Now eclipsed, for me, by Bolton. They are objectionable and Davies is the epitomy of them.

I've never seen anyone as adept at winning a free kick when actually committing a foul themselves.

Infuriating when it's against your side but you have to hand it to him, he is a master at the role he is asked to carry out and takes so much pressure of his team mates.

Making the most of his ability, top man for me. no problems with being a handfull, Balo has more ability in his big toe, I know who works harder for himself and the team.

Where this goes pear shaped though, is that when Bolton play the rags, Baconface will start shouting & all of those free kicks will be given against Davis rather than all given in his favour as against us. Makes an enormous difference to the flow of the game. The same thing happened at Everton; they chucked themselves over, got a free kick, put us under pressure. Without that; we would have won there easily & finished in 2nd place. Half of those free kicks won't be given v the rags. They have an easier job to win these games because of how refs interpret this stuff.

I like him as a player, but then again, I like physical players. Sure, we can look with amazement to the Barcelona philosophy of passing a ball, but physicality, in my opinion, can be just as impressive.
Davies is great to have as a powerhouse up frunt. His finishing could be better at times, but his goal Sunday was amazing. Nicely tucked into the corner out of Joe's reach.

It does piss me off though, how he graps players and gets away with it at times and how Micah shoulder blocked... rather, shoulder stroked Petrov before laying the ball square for Aguero and gets penalised, because Micah is physically stronger.

This is what I don't get either. He goes down SO easily all the time, a lot of time even blatently dives, yet he has been getting away with it for years.

The freekick that lead to their goal should have never happened either, he was jumping on Barry's (I think) back but made it look like Barry backed into him or something and the Ref gives him a freekick.

The rags have always player managed the games where they face danger, refs have loved being at Old trafford, Keane, Rio, Neville manage the game squeals and nulfies Davies or a big threat. It has gone on for yrs Ted, we need to adopt a little more of ref we are MCFC that is a foul coz we say so. like the rags, Arsenal.

There is a difference between being a 'physical player' and a dirty cunt who wouldn't lose a wink of sleep if he ended someone's career with a bad tackle from behind.

Just couldn't disagree more really. I'd take Messi's feet over Davies' force any day. Silva's slow dribble over Walcott's ridiculous pace. etc etc I love it when Yaya steams forward, but that's normally underpinned by his excellent technique. It wasn't quite as fun watching Emile Heskey about ten years ago trying the same thing was it? Because he wasn't as technically good....I agree it can be impressive, but no way near AS impressive. Just my opinion though.

Davies's incredibly late clattering of Kolarov in minute 1 was a yellow card, nailed on. His kick to the back of Kun's legs was an easy yellow. His persistent fouling was another yellow. He played 90 minutes. Fucking joke. Horrible player, horrible team.
