Dzeko of course, but Kompany deserves a special mention too, I counted a hat-trick of three truly world class tackles. What a player and well worthy of the captains armband (something he should've been given last season)

There won't be a clearer MotM decision to make all season, Edin was simply superb.

Not mentioned by many others but an early save by Joe from (I think) VdV could well have been crucial in the game too.

Really felt for him last season. The doubters were on his back after 5 minutes.
So pleased it's come good for him as I always thought it would.

Massive City legend in the making.

I was thinking the same. Both Barry and Yaya were excellent today, Nigel unfortunately will have to earn it all over again.

interesting post. i think i was called an idiot by some fucktard on this board for suggesting the same thing in the Gaz Baz thread earlier in the week.

pull your head out of your own ass once in a while, would you?

glad we finally agree on this point tho.

cheers

No, I asked who would sit down for Nasri....Nasri started.

As far as I can recall I was asking a question and got a smart arse answer from you along with some idea that I was on a windup when I was looking for a genuine response from someone who wasn't you btw.

You were being a cunt as per usual, going after the poster AGAIN rather than taking the post on face value.

Head up 'ass'? Well you'd know.

that failed to impress me honestly. And you are one to call someone out as going after the poster and not the post? please. give it a rest, won't you?

stop being so jealous. it's just a messageboard on the internet.

and my response...if you read it, but you didn't, actually covered the question you raised before you actually raised it.

it's a long season -- there will be plenty of matches for our entire midfield to prove their value. Still a true statement. People will earn their starts on merit and form, etc. Normal stuff really.

Good times to be a City fan...

Garry Barry was excellent yet again, thought he'd scored another belter in the first half.

What may tell against Nige is that he's amost wholly destructive, whereas each of the others, while not being as good at the 'destructive' as Nige, still can provide some constructive, and goals, also!

There will be certain matches when having a destroyer will come into play, we can't allow that clown Anderson to run the midfield against us and a leg snapper early on will put him in his place.

I think that's the exact reason Zabs was picked today instead of Richards, if Bale started to run riot down the left, Zabs is the man you want to give him a 'touch up', just to cause that half second hesitation. It usually comes with a yellow card but Bale did fuck all today so it was there just in case.

I think we are overlooking the one man who get slammed in defeat and rarely praised in victory, Mancini had Redknapp nailed from the opening minutes, helps when you have a lineup like we do, but this is a far cry from a year ago where we defended tooth and nail to preserve a point.

Dzeko was great andh is four goals solidified his MOtM....
however, Barry was great today..even picked up an assist for Edin's 4th.
Nasri was great as well with a hattrick of assists.

Dzeko looks to be in great form. Balotelli is fucked.
