There are maybe 6 or 7 players that it could seriously be in the whole of football for a) him to have not heard a rumour from the club, b) him to say 'Wow!' and c) it to be true.

My bet is Anelka.

Apparently:

Mario Ballotelli's player profile has been removed from the Man City website. He'll join Tottenham in a £14m deal today

Probably Twitchy, if he has any sense of humility.

Think with Hargreaves we will be done.

Would be a fantastic deadline day if we can get the Hughes legacy players off the books. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for clarifying. Was sure a few of our squad profiles go offline now and again, and was wondering why SWP's was still up, if they're so keen to take them down.

I know this sounds odd, but I think Sniejder is on his way to Spurs.

His price has been dropping all morning, some Spurs player tweeted he'd seen someone amazing and Spurs are in dire need of a stronger midfield.

1228: An expectant Brad Smith mails in to announce: "Gilles Sunu hjas signed a four year contract with L’Orient and Henri Lansbury has moved to WHU on loan. He in in the last year of his contract, so his Arsenal career is over. Clearing the decks. Expect some BIG midfielder news by 9pm tonight Arsenal fans."

Might have the wrong North London sad excuse for a football club.

It's Cahill or Parker at Spurs I recon. It's deffo not Sneijder.

Apparently Crouch is off; meeting Niall Quinn at a 'secret location'. Jurassic Park ?

It does seem as though Inter are skint and Ican see him moving today

I saw the thing about Huddleston seeing a player entering the training complex but I can't see Spurs having the dosh. The don't pay above £65k a week so even with a loan Inter would still be stumping up £150K a week plus+.

In a way I'm glad we're out of the picture today but on the other hand there is something really exciting about the potential for a big deal on deadline day.

Joe Cole is off to Lille on loan, hardly huge midfielder news there.

Haha!

Huddlestone apparently tweeted that he 'couldn't believe' who he'd seen rock up at Spurs' training ground. If he's not pissing about, my money would be on Giuseppe Rossi. Spurs would never be able (willing) to pay Schneyedar's reportedly astronomical wages.
