Nice story and quotes regarding Carlos, forget the header.
Tevez: Love-hate with Mancini
Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez admits he has a "love-hate relationship" with Roberto Mancini but insists he is now "happy" at Eastlands.

The Argentina forward issued a statement over the summer saying he wanted to leave the club, while he has said on several occasions that he did not like living in Manchester, nor did his family.

Tevez insists that he is now happy at the club and he is looking forward to playing more regularly for City after only featuring once as a substitute in the victory over Bolton so far this term.

The forward, returning to Buenos Aires for a break after being given time off while other players are on international duty, was quoted as telling reporters on arrival at Ezeiza international airport: "We had clashes with Mancini in every language but it's a love-hate relationship.

"He's fantastic, he wants to win and me too. He told me to come to Buenos Aires to enjoy a holiday. He left me out of these first few (Premier League) matches because I told him I needed to get in shape.

"I'm happy at City and I'm not moving from there."

The 27-year-old also complained he has been a scapegoat for hosts Argentina's quarter-final elimination by Uruguay in the Copa America after missing a penalty in the shoot-out with the tournament's eventual winners.

Earlier, he started Argentina's first two matches, both draws, but his form was poor and he came on as a substitute against Uruguay.

"To play in the national team today you can lose prestige because if you don't win they kill you," said Tevez of criticism in the Argentine media.

"We were under pressure to win because that was the only possible result (at home), if not...we knew they'd kill us. I got depressed and ate after being unable to give the (Argentine) people happiness," he said, adding that he put on six kilos and had to go to a clinic to lose weight.

"It hurts a lot not to be able to play the way you would like."

Instead of fewking off to Argentina on a break (after only just coming back to club from a BREAK) why doesn't he stay in Manchester and carry on regaining his full fitness if he's looking forward to playing again?

No idea, looks like Mancini has told him to go.

where's that from Wooders???

ignore that http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/st ... MP=OTC-RSS

however, what is strange is that that last sentence wasn't reported anywhere else last night when the interview hit the presses....I suspect some journalistic license

People / pundits / papers etc. keep going on about what a succesfull partnership he will form with Kun - why ? - just because they're both Argentine and play in attack ?
I don't think this will be so .
Arentina don't use them both together - they're too similar - small, strong & quick . I think Sgr. Mancini will use them ALTERNATELY , with Dzeko / Mario - so that we have BIG/small combination in attack. Or maybe both of them on alternate wings with a big'un in the middle - maybe. Maybe use Kun more for Euro games and Carlito for domestic as he's got more experince in Inglaterra . . .

Thoughts ? Discuss. . . .

Dzeko is undroppable at the moment . But every player will need resting throughout the season. But I just can't see us playing Kun & Carlito together all that much

Personally, I think tevez has got bags of south american passion which he extends on to the pitch every time he appears; He's been fantastic for us and has given the others a good example of what 100% effort actually is last season. BUT I think he is also a greedy and stubborn person and unfortunately that also expresses itself onto the pitch. In a team which was lacking up front last season, that played to our strengths and he shone out above the rest.

This season, IMO, I think that the team appear to be playing much more as a team and for each other. My worry is that he would disrupt that; And given his whining/moaning etc. If it were me, id use him a sub for a whle and knock some of the cockyness out of him. He seems to think he is the greatest thing in the team; last season that was arguably true (like any band, its the frontman who normally gets the glory) this season he needs to realise hes just one of the gang.

Good point. He does hog it at times. The fact that he couldn't get a move anywhere , plus the fact that he realises he's not automatic first choice any more should hopefully bring him down to earth a bit and make him realise , like you say, that he's just part of a team now and no longer el primero honcho . He'll need to adjust his game - certainly at times. We'll see.

They're both a bit like Diego in staure and style of play (though perhaps not as accomplished ball handling skills) . Argentina generally never used a similar player alongside Diego - they usually had a big guy up (in) front of him .

I am quite happy for Bobby to utilize him to get the best for Manchester City, I hope that doesn't include the captain's armband but even if it does, we knew who the captain really was even before he got the band.
