As for traditional sides staying up, we've been down loads of times. As a football fan I think it gives you a proper grounding and all round view of the game to experience it. Everton and Arsenal fans in general could do with a dose of this I reckon

Only Arsenal have never been relegated. Everton have not got relegated for about 60 years

Correct- not been relegated since 50-51. Only been out of the top flight for 4 seasons throughout their history- more years in the top flight than Arsenal, though. Arsenal were relegated in 1913 according to wikipedia, so don't know what the deal is there- thought neither had ever been relegated.

Good question! Definitely not from the Premier League, and they sort of gradually rose through the divisions from about 1995-2005. Unless they were once relegated from Division Four to the Conference, I'd guess the answer is no.

Everton do have some good fans. From my experience it's one of the friendliest away days in the Premier League (shit ground and chronic view aside). None of that away fans pub miles up the road bollocks like you get at Bolton and Wigan. All the ones I've ever met on holiday have been sound too. Just normal football fans like us.

I've heard some horror stories about the racism there in the 70s and 80s, but I was only born in '85 so I've not seen that. I've been to some much nastier places in English football.

Bill Kenwright has said many times that he's willing to sell - he's also spoken publicly about the financial state the club is in. Not every club is lucky enough to be bought.

As for them being upset when a player leaves - who can really blame them? Hardly morons, it happens everywhere.

I've a feeling they have been overacheiving for a few years now and when/ if Moyes leaves whilst they are in their current state they'll be serious contenders for the drop.

Agreed, we were hardly happy bunnies selling Sweep to Chelsea (despite the fee), Flitcroft, Kinky etc etc
