The first half pass and pass stuff i think was all about being patient but unfortunately lacked the pace it needed.I felt from the start of the 2nd half we upped the tempo a little and it made the difference even though it needed 2 pieces of high skill to bring the first goals.

Defo agree with this, rather have the ball and be patient than rush it and lose possession.
We should have kept the ball for 90 minutes against Munich,if only.

Munich was a different case than Blackburn.

Potato Hed gave away a clue to the approach on the bbc interview post match. He said that all the players who were at that moment in play the wide player, were cutting inside too early, so the play consistently came back in across the front of BB defence. He said they were told to take the play behind the defence before cutting in.
I'm sure there were more instructions than that too, but the point is that to me that shows they are still working it out with the team and the players especially as this is also what they were doing v Napoli and Everton. To me it shows that the management may well ask for certain patterns of play and certain roles etc, but the players may not in the heat of the game get it right, but equally not see themselves that they haven't got it right. Platt also said players were coming and seeking the ball rather than waiting for it in a certain position... again a problem ending up with everyone too central.

I think it will come together slowly but surely and i think in many ways the slowness and trying to be too precise is a bit of a response perhaps to being 'overcoached'. My take is that the first couple of games where Nasri and Aguero had just arrived they would be winging it and doing what they thought best without detailed instruction.. result more natural from those two and more fluid.

just some thoughts anyway...

Agreed, but I thought we tried to hard to force chances and boss the game when keeping the ball would have been better for the team.
Learning to boss the game with possession and speed up and slow down the tempo is what the top euro teams can do and we're nearly there.
